Thanks for the informative video. This does technically work. I ran my PS4 via my XBO S to my 4K HDR TV and it worked. However, despite having HDMI 2.2 cables running in and out of my XBO S, I can no longer flip the HDR option to 'on' via my PS4 when playing games that feature it. And the worst part is the input lag. Wow, it is very noticeable. Almost to the point where I would just settle for my TV's internal upscaler vs. this route. Thank you for making this vid regardless :-)

I think you have to go through “one guide” now instead of TV. Not sure. Same thing though. But this is great to have multiple consoles on one tv. Especially if you don’t have enough HDMI ports on your tv for all your systems. So you don’t have to unplug and switch what system is plugged in. I did it with my 360 through my Xbox one for awhile. So I had both Xbox consoles and a PS4 plugged in to one tv

for switch users, you can use the extra hdmi on the xbox one s for your dock. i tested it myself and it works

I didn't have to turn off HDCP. It still works with it enabled.

By doing this I keep the color set up on the Xbox 1s right? Because I have a sony TV and on ps4 the graphics and colors are washed out by the game mode but on x1 it doesn't activate game mode and colors are crisp

Hi Mr Upscaler, i would like to play my pc games in 4k@60fps but it costs an arm and a leg to get a RTX2080ti rig. Instead, i am running my Dell G7 Rtx2060 laptop via the HDMI Input on my XBOx One X to upscale the game to 2160p 60hz. The TV does show the default resolution at 2160p 60hz, but my actual in game resolution on my Dell is 1080p. I dont appeaty to suffer any lag. So does this modus operandi actually work? Or should i just plug my Dell G7 direct to the big tv to play at 1080p?

Everything works fine for me with the upscale but not hdr. Does the passtrough not support it?

It upscales your 1080p ps4 to 1440p if you have a 1440p monitor it keeps it 1440p I checked it out and it's a huge difference.

You don't need to take off the HDCP just plug it in and there you all set cuz if you disable it you won't be able to watch RU-vid and other apps

nice vid, just tried it out. my ps4 game/ videos does look a little better when connected to the xb1slim than the upscaling engine of my sharp aquous 50 inch 4k 50ub30u non hdr. im happy with it, thanks for sharing mr 4k. i might not do it everday though too much electricity wasted imo.

Im pretty sure that when you disabled that HDCP you then can not stream NetFlix or anything like that. That means RU-vid and EVERYTHING! Just get a damn HDMI splitter. They are like $10 on ebay.

PLS ANSWER: what would happen if i would connect my ps4 pro to the one s? would the checkerboard still work or is that not possible? i am asking because my tv only has one hdmi spot with 4k hdr. i have a 4k switch actually but sadly my ps4 pro runs it flawless my one s cant run over them properly(picture and sound is gone for 1-2 seconds every 5-10 minutes). and if NOT... would that be possible with the XBOX ONE X, because i pre ordered it and wouldnt need my ps4 till then anyways or isnt it possible regardless?
