HOW TO: Connecting Third Party Camera (TP-Link) VIGI C300HP-4 & VIGI C400HP-4 with HIKVISION NVR

Hi @Lantoslstvan This case no need SD card. Our NVR only can select 1 recording type at 1 time.

@@ViskouGroup I have a tp link vigi 220L dome, 2MP. On a Hikvision 7204HUHI connected as ONVIF, motion detection works less than it does, regardless of sensitivity, it activates once every 5 passes. It records the staircase from a bird's eye view at a distance of 1-5 meters.

NVR is DS-9664NI-I8, Switch is Ruijie Switch XS-S1960-10GT2SFP-P-H

Hi Basil, Yes, once the camera has been added inside the Hikvision NVR, it will be able to record on the HDD.

Hi Gianluca, If connected via Onvif, you can only record normally. For smart functions, you might need to do some testing.

Because ViGI supports only Onvif Profile S, only motion detection is supported :( No smart featrures like line cossing etc... Camera released in 2021/2022, seems like a joke from TP-Link :( so no Profile T, G on this devices till today

@@janda1982 Can you confirm motion detection works? I have reolink camera with onvif profile S, but hikvision nvr fails to pick up motion events.

@@lifebarier for me motion detection works, Turbo HD 5.0 DVR firmware from 6.2022, do you have latest firmware on your NVR?

@@janda1982 DS-7608NI-K2/8P with newest firmware (weirdly auto update was not picking up newest firmware, had to flash by hand). Connected hikvision camera works fine, but Reolink RLC-520A (version 2) can only record nonstop. Onvif device manager says that motion events are happening, but hikvision does nothing - strangely checking box 'motion detection' (fot that camera, hikvision camera options work fine) on nvr (can't tell exact menu place) throws 'invalid operation' (motion detection is set to on in camera itself though). In recording options tried everything - motion, alarm, event... Starting to really regret going for hikvision nvr (especially that it does not show video UNLESS I am on windows AND have some spyware driver installed).

Hi @abhishekpuli6356 Yes, we can control third-party PTZ camera with PTZ control through ONVIF too!
