I've gone my entire life thinking I had a round or a square face (I'm 27). Recently I started looking into it, and realised I more than likely have a diamond face shape. I need to change so much about my makeup now, and this was super helpful! Also, you're gorgeous and your accent is lovely!

i highly appreciate the amount of makeup she uses, im tired of seeing an oz of every product being slapped onto the face and we try to emulate this on our face and it doesnt transfer well into realistic everyday makeup. thankssss

This makes total sense.I remember one time when my friend did my makeup and she countoured too low under the cheekbones and it made me look really gaunt and wierd. I later realized she did this because she herself had a round face and that’s how she had to countour it,but it didn’t work on my diamond face.

Never even thought about highlighting my forehead before (even though I guess that should be obvious..?) simply because in _every_ other contouring tutorial I've seen they always darken the area from the temples and up. Great tip!

I am 60 years old and love makeup and I only learned today I have a diamond-shaped face. I like my diamond spaced face, though I have not seen anyone show how to minimize it if I want to. I will though, contour my cheeks and nose the way you demonstrated. I usually do the highlighting like you did because a makeup artist taught me that way but she didn't tell me why and I hadn't used a highlighter before.

Today, I tried your method and MAGIC! 💫 Before, If I placed the shadows the conventional way it will make my face look so short. I would wonder why my face becomes squariah and why contouring fills up all the space. Now, I get it right! Thank you so much! You are a gem among thousands of youtubers. 💎💫 I have a question. Do we not need to apply contouring on the top of the forhead near hairline? Because it is narrow from the temples but high in the middle. Also, please explain how to contour neck and under the jaw too!

I want to add one thing here. Although, narrow forehead is a feature of Diamond face but some people's hairline recedes and they also tend to lose the hair on temples which exposes the forehead and tricks you into thinking that you have a heart shaped face while you do not. Secondly, some people also have sagging jowls (area around chin) along with hairloss at forehead and temples so they get confused and think they have a square face. So, rather focus on noticing does your forhead form the /\ and chin is pointy like \/ and if you have really noticeable cheekbones that are the widest part of your face. Hence creating a Diamond like shape. Remember Human face cannot have exact shapes like Diamond, Oval, Square or heart but will be "SIMILAR" to these shapes with variations. Also, If you put on some weight, the Diamond shape can look like Oblong or Rectangle shaped face. So, pay attention. It is helpful to look at your old photos preferably teenage years to know your face shape since most people do not have weight issues in their teen years and face shape is noticeable. Hope this helps.

I have really high cheekbones and a short of pointy chin, some "dents" above my temples so it looks like my forehead is narrower but then I have a widows peak which in return makes my forehead more heart shaped....well.

You went overboard by highlighting the nose bridge. Everything fell apart by this one stroke. That being said, all else you showed here, should balance out diamond face.
