Don't be from the ones who despair from the mercy of Allah because indeed it is that person is a wrongdoer (teaching of Ibrahim, Peace upon him). Stop music (too much filth and subliminal messages), if I did it you can too. Movies and shows (hard too but waste of time and again too much sex in it). Then cut down your time on your laptop, phone etc..if you want distraction watch documentaries on subject you like, lectures on our religion. Think that at every step Allah is watching, and anything haram you leave out of love and fear for Him..He will reward ans replace with something better, He Will Help You! You're not alone, yes you have to strive and fight against yourself but it will ne worth it and you'll be proud of yourself. No but you should make sure others are around when your talking to the opposite gender. This is a big issue for Pakistani/Indian families because they like having close family ties & sometimes ignore the rulings of Islam. Hence you see people getting into Haram relationships.
