Strong reccomendation to new players using swooping hawks for board control take Baharoth because he allows them to move 6” at the end of the shooting phase. If you’re new and struggle with positioning this will give you a much larger room for error compared to relying on sky leap which happens at the end of the turn
@@templarwargaming3202 Shadow spectres are too important as shooting threat to be thrown away for board control. With Swooping hawks you have the flexibility of using them for your objectives and as a back up harassment tool. I don't mind losing my hawks but if I lose my spectres that's a serious blow to my offensive game plan.
I fell in love with Eldar in Dawn Of War 2 especially when I started to play multi. Hated SM soo much to me was a very boring faction to play and was just too easy mode. Thanks for the vid helps me a lot since I am still starting out. I probably wont be playing competitive just fun games with friends at the start.

Yo proxy when’re we getting a tier list? Now that the nerfs have settled in I’d like to see your thoughts on where our units stand. Eldrad for example was S tier but now I think he’s a B+ tier unit with the strands nerf

Diagrams are back like it ! Can't we consider War Walkers as a part of the board control game ? They are not infiltrators but have a Scout 9 ability that can be useful to block a penetration axis and they are quite tanky so they may survive an early exposure
They're super durable and great value with two separate guns instead of twin linked, especially at +20pts compared to Vypers RIP the vyper supremacy era, at least until they either let us take 3/6 a squad, give back the 5++, or make them way cheaper
What would you recommend for a first 500 or 1000 points for a brand new cwe player? What units should a new autarch focus on obtaining? Preferably not a wraithknight knight since at low points costs you really just can't afford it.
I would recommend the combat patrol weirdly enough 🫤 it was utter trash last edition but now is actually quite good! However, if you want to go another route I would recommend this -Autarch Wayleaper -Wraithguard -Warp Spiders -Death Jester -Vyper with BL The above are all unit you can use really effectively in small games that also scale up quite well!
Warp Spiders are far scarier for board control than just going deep. So I'll assume whoever reads this understands how their weapons work, auto-hit, devastating, etc.... Now imagine using rapid ingress at the end of your opponent's movement phase. You place your 10 Warpspiders behind blocking LOS but within 12" of a charge target. A smart opponent probably won't charge. But if he does he's going to take a full 11d6 hits with devastating wounds before he gets to swing. Either way they aren't going to accomplish their charge goal. Further imagine holding your Warpspiders back behind LOS blocking terrain on your side of the board. Your opponent tries to advance up the board to achieve their own board control goals. In your turn you flickerjump 24" and murder anything within 12". If he moves or charges within 12" of that unit in his turn your Overwatch. Or alternatively if you don't want to weather his shooting phase you use Fire and Fade at the end of your own shooting to move 12" into safety...with the ability to still Overwatch if he finishes a move visible and within 12". The same rapid ingress trick can be done with Dire Avengers by dropping them in a position to cause havoc on his assault movements. Primarily that will only work with charges that begin or end within 24" of the edge of the board (6" for Strategic Reserves, 18" for Shuriken range). The beautiful thing is your opponent cannot predict or stop it from affecting his charges. You can also do it with Swooping Hawks 24" range and deepstrike in a pinch, though they only get (lethal) hits from overwatch on a 6....the good thing is with skyleap they could do it over and over again if it made sense to do so.
Ya the current index is fully usable and free via the warhammer app! For a starting point I would suggest the combat patrol, has a bit of everything and the units are all very good. I have a video talking about the combat patrol and after you get that (you can get it super cheap on Amazon ect.) I would recommend picking up an Autarch Wayleaper (the one with wings or jump generator) a Waveserpent with 10 Dire Avengers or a Falcon with 5 Fire dragons to go up to 750 and from there definitely a War Walker and either a unit of swooping hawks, warp spiders, or shadow spectres (if you can’t find those the man 3 shroud runners or 5 rangers are good as well).
Chaos were absolutely OP! Heretics could build so much faster it was bonkers, definitely had to go send rangers to kill them quite a few times. Although truthfully I was never good at the game lol 😂 more of a troll Eldar player really
@@ProxyHammer1 i generally went full infiltrator and just targeted units that could detect infils and won like everygame lol had like 140 for 142 lol was insane . theres dow 2 mod that allows u to play full armies !

@@squeesmyth9025 I’m glad I’ve been able to help!! Quins and Corsairs can now be taken with no restrictions other than the rule of 3 for non battleline units (for BL it’s 6). Quins are a pretty good melee counter punch and corsairs are a good generalist unit with solid damage
