I had a bad fall last week going down a hill because I didn’t know how to slow down and scrape the back of my leg when I fell, it was big and hurt like a mother.. I didn’t want to but I’m definitely getting knee pads and a helmet

Not to be the downer, (because these really are great to know!) but duck feet and the plow require A LOT of control and can easily get messy if you lose that control as is normal on large hills or for beginners. Or both 🙈 T-stops can shave of a section of your wheel creating the dreaded “helicopter wheel” named for the sound the wheel makes when it rolls with a missing section of wheel. Slaloms or “carving” are a great option but require the width and no traffic. And of course backwards on toe stops swallows toe stops 😭 I’m hoping someone will come out will a fast, reliable safe way to tackle hills for quads.. someday 🤞🏻

Im New to roller skating so this is scary regardless

Slaloms are my absolute favorite way to get down a hill

What about going forward and dragging the tow stop

I do toestop but with inline skates
