X Flow. Thoroughly appreciated that, many thanks. I've got the head off a 1600 crossflow at the moment. Already ported and gas flowed but needs the face skimming, new valve seats, guides etc. Shame you're just too far from me to pop it in. All the best anyway.
Is it easy to tell if a X/flow has been converted to lead free when you get the head off my boss got a boat that should have a X/flow engine he got hold of one we got it running and now we are going to strip it down for a look inside new gaskets etc and I have a feeling that it's not going to have the lead free conversion
@@graceenginedevelopments thanks I was thinking I should be able to see a hair line ring around the valve's and with it being a boat engine they probably wouldn't have spent much time smoothing them out in the port's showing obvious signs with the valve's out it's more than likely not been done we rang a Scottish guy to get a impeller for the marine water pump it's got and some where in-between the F's and Jeff's he told us it's a very early one how much do you charge for a basic lead free conversion
