How to Convert Double Kingpin to Single Kingpin for Skateboards!

Want to convert your double kingpin to single kingpin? Here's how to do it!
This is useful for electric skateboards since double kingpin is not great for high speeds and cause speed wobbles. Doing this will make your skateboard ride way more stable. I did this for both my Vestar and Ownboard. For Vestar, I had to drill new holes on the motor mount otherwise the motors hit the trucks but for Ownboard, it fits perfectly without drilling holes. i just picked up a boundmotor as my first double kingpin board and it threw me on my ass REAL quick so i decided to try doing this but i wasnt sure if it was a reasonable thing to even attempt. im glad im not the only one thats thought of it so fingers crossed lol. thanks for the video

How much does this change the height? I wanna do this for the rear trucks on my board but leave the fronts as DKP. Will this work or will the board be higher in the front?

This is tempting, but idk if I want to risk testing it the hard way. I'm guessing you would have to mount them TKP (bushings facing inward) but there's probably a good reason no one uses trucks that way for esk8. Maybe you could flip them and do RKP (bushings facing out), but RKP trucks usually have a more angled kingpin. Maybe angled risers could make up the difference, but at that point it just sounds like too much work.

false. TKP is used on many esk8 trucks. The Zeus pro from ownboard is a good example. I believe onsra also does this with their boards. TKP is know for its remarkable stability at high speeds.

If i got the isinwheel v10 and I notice around 20mph it starts to wobble even with a lean on front and tight truck I’m totally new to boarding but decent enough to cruise, but I don’t think I can do anything about the dkp and I keep hearing they are naturally more wobbly and I don’t need to carve yet so this video will help I hope watching it now hoping I can just buy a single truck for it? The back truck is a belt connected so I think I can only convert the front idk if that okay to do

OK IM BACK OMFG I DIDNT KNOW THE TRUCK CAN LEGIT JUST TURN INTO SINGLE THANK GOD OMG I THOUGHT ID HAVE TO BUY SOMETHING THERE WAS LEGIT ANOTHER LITTLE HOLE FOR THE NUB ON THE TRUCK IM GONAN TRY THE BACK ONE NOW HUT THERES THAT LITTLE BELT IF ANYTHING I KEEP THR BACK TRUCK DOUBLE TO HELP WITH TURNING MAYBE IDK? How do you go with the rears? Is there much motor to deck clearance? How is the turning?

Depends on the board but Ownboard or Evolved it's fine, for Vestar you have to drill new holes for the motor mount so it doesn't the trucks. You can also add more risers if you need more clearance.

Its a washer or the lower cup washer. But washers literally are metal circles, no other way to really describe them.

If you don’t like double king pin, don’t buy it lol 😂 much easier. I have never really had a double king pin board before but somehow never liked the idea.

Well I like the trucks on ownboard since they support 63mm and has motor mount with just three screws that are not going to move. But these only come in dual kingpin.
