I asked my dad a while back and he said no- the other day I asked my mom and she seemed ok w/ it but said we should talk to my dad too- so I asked my dad again yesterday and he said what will u make videos about-and then he said I'd rather... And then stopped talking-I don't know how to ask them
I earned my channel! My dad said no, no, no and my mom was like ok ask your dad aswell! I did good on my report card and my dad said I will get you anything and I said a youtube channel! My parents have to review my videos before I post them but everything else it ok tbh!
@EmmyAnnG if you get a short haired cat and brush him/her once a week, there will be no hair shedding & cats and kittens LOVE litter boxes! Using the little box is drilled into their dna. As long as you clean it every day, the cat won't randomly go to the bathroom everywhere! Your mom is being unrealistic!
My parents said they don't want me posting video's of myself because they don't want me to embarrass myself. They said that they know it's safe but they don't want me to get embarrassed. What should I do to convince them I won't be embarrassing.
I want to have a gaming RU-vid channel but here’s the problem: I’m too young. Well that’s what they think at least. I’m older than 13 so I’m past what RU-vid requires, but my parents don’t want me doing RU-vid. My mom thinks that I shouldn’t be talking to strangers, but if you want to be successful, that’s kinda required. What should I do to convince her?
I asked my parents about a year ago and they said no because they think that someone will kidnap me or murder me or "photoshop my face onto someone else's naked body and spread it around and people will think it's me" (REAL WORDS SAID BY MY FATHER). They don't know about any of the social media i have but i feel this is a LOT harder to hide from them.. please help
My best friends parents wont let her be in one of my videos. We've been preparing for like EVER and my best friends parents are really protective(more then my parents!!!) and don't wont her to be in the video. What should I do?!?!?!?
I already have a RU-vid channel but they won't let me buy my own computer, I already have one but I get bad fps , they hate that I play video games but my dream is to be famous from RU-vid and I ask them if I can have a new computer but they say no and then they get pissed if I keep asking... I have the money but I'm afraid to tell them that it is my dream to actually have a good computer.. I'm sad.. Because each time I ask it's like they just end my dream.

Ok so i was allowed to upload when my parents didn't know but I told them because they were getting suspicious about me and video games. Do you know how to try to get my channel back because I have tried multiple times. They are worried about privacy and safeness but i know that youtube is safe but my parents don't believe me. I do stream with a weird mask on and my dad saw me with a mask. People do know my name but how many Nicks are there in the U.S.. The potential job did not go well with my parents because they hate me playing video games. So do you have anymore advice.
lol I just randomly put up my first youtube vid then showed my dad right away but he wasn't mad at all he was just amused a bit I guess & I showed my mom one of me dancing horribly then she just laughed but yeah, they were totally okay with it they didn't really care haha ;D
i asked my mom before watching this and she said if she caught me on youtube she would ground me from the computer for a year! she said she is afraid that some hobo or werdio will watch my videos is going to come to my house and snatch me away.

AriLovesChanel I think it's okay to do it behind his back! I did that with my parents for the first few months of my channel & now they LOVE it!! They didn't want me to start out & were even scared when they found out & a little angry, but I knew it was safe and it turned out to be such an amazing part of my life. Parents are not always right and while it's good to listen and think about their advice, you are your own person & should use free will to make your own decisions. You're their daughter, not their puppet. Do what you want with your RU-vid channel!!!
omg me too! like my mom made some rules for me and i follow them but my dad doesnt know. they are divorced and he is more protective but idk of he will care. shoudl i ask him too?
