I usually added the butter in first, then the steak after. Your method makes more sense. Thanks for the pro tip. :)

No problem, thanks for watching. Sometimes adding the butter too early can lead to it burning and becoming bitter. Thanks again 👍🏻

@@PenguinumbreonGamingI used to use Flora (margarine/spread) for a while and didn't even realise it was dairy free lol. I generally only buy and use real butter now so I haven't used it for a very long time, but I used to fry with it and was always okay:)

I’d go with some nice, crispy roast potatoes and steamed greens such as kale, cabbage, peas or asparagus’s. Hope this helps. Enjoy!

Is that a pan with oil added or just the bare pan when you say wait till it starts smoking?
@PinchofMintCookingChannel
@PinchofMintCookingChannel 6 месяцев назад
It’s a bare pan. Oil is added to the steak beforehand 👍🏻
@shroomjak200
@shroomjak200 6 месяцев назад
@@PinchofMintCookingChannel ah right. I'm asking because with a non stick pan I've read to add oil and heat the pan up with the oil. I previously used to heat up the pan first but it would smoke and smell like old oil being burnt despite it being cleaned of course, wasnt sure since that point whether it wss some toxic fumes or something lol.

You cook for a total of 4 mins. when it's in the pan? So 2 mins. on each side?
@PinchofMintCookingChannel

Yes two minutes on each side in a very hot pan. The full written recipe is in the video description. Thanks for watching.

@PinchofMintCookingChannel
@PinchofMintCookingChannel 7 месяцев назад
Whenever you cook meat it’s important to rest it. As a general rule, try resting it for have the amount of time you spent cooking it. This will help it be less chewy.

it's pink on the inside, I thought you said you were cooking the perfect lamb rump, that's clearly still raw in my book. You accomplish the same thing if you just stuck the raw meat in the microwave for 4 minutes.
@ChefJackOvens
@ChefJackOvens 11 месяцев назад
That’s perfectly cooked lamb. Just because it’s not cooked to your liking doesn’t mean it’s raw. You’re missing out with that attitude

Unfortunately I don’t have a microwave so I had to do it probably… very specific with the 4 minute timing though, you must have done this before. I’ll pop over and check out your video shortly.
