Why does my rice turn wet, mushy than I prefer. I prefer it to be drier and fluffy. Do I add less water? How much water for 1.5 cups of rice?

Neat. You know, I've never seen a non-Japanese rice cooker. :)

Hi! If you plan to eat rice for dinner as well (assuming the cooking process in the morning), Do you usually keep the rice warm inside the rice cooker? Or do you make another batch?

I would NEVER leave cooked rice in the rice cooker as the flavor gets worse and worse, instead I always freeze them in single serving portion and microwave it as needed : )

Thank you! I guess it doesn’t have to be cold water, but I was always told hot tap water is not good for you? : )

Amazing! Does the rice cooker brand matter?

Thank you! To me, it does matter : ) good rice cooker cooks much better rice than other inexpensive ones from my experience…Actually the material of inner pot is the most important part, and I really like my zojirushi. Please check the Amazon link in the description if interested : )

@_HanaPanda

@@loverlypeace9747 oh really? I've not had that issue myself, but i do ignore the levels in the pot and always do 1 cup rice to 1 cup water (plus after washing the rice I try to make sure i drain as much of the water as possible before i add the cups of water to start cooking.. if that makes any sense?)
