Thanks for stopping by my friend:). Hope you get to try this recipe someday. Sorry for the late reply as I was off RU-vid for a while due to busy schedule.
Hi Sol! The exact ratio of all the ingredients are in the video’s description, you may access it by clicking on the video title. Let me know if you still can’t access it 🤗.
Hi Sol, just realise in the description it does not specify which type of vinegar to be used for the Chan Kong Thye brand. It should be the black sweet rice vinegar (double version) which in Singapore has a pink top label as per the one shown in the video 🤗. I will amend it in the description after this.
Hi @Chubby Bacon thanks for watching the video 😄. Yes, you may substitute with pork belly or pork ham & hock (otherwise known as 前腿肉)in place of the pork trotter:). You’ll need to reduce to cooking time though as pork belly tenderises and cooks faster than pork trotters. Suggest that once the meat comes to a boil in the black sweet vinegar mixture, continue cooking on Low medium heat and check in on the pork texture after about 20-30 mins. If it’s sufficiently tender you may turn off the heat. Otherwise, continue cooking until the pork texture is soft to your liking. Hope this helps 🤗
