Great job showing that knot: the half-hitch. I was always weak at getting the knots. Great to have a most excellent teacher.

I love your videos and I've learned quite a few things, I wouldn't mind having one of your ponchos but they're a little bit out of my price range

I carry one of your ponchos with me every day, It has come in handy here in Rainy Vancouver quite a bit. I ordered an awesome I’m still waiting for it but osney it gets here I think it’s going to pair a very nicely. Really like your instructional videos I’m sure it’s very helpful for some people. I just use para cord and wrap the tree a couple of times with my hammock poncho all my other hammocks are use a tree strap a continuous loop in the end of each end of my hammock and the Beckett hitch Super lightweight super easy super adjustable Minimal hardware

Is it possible to use a second poncho as a trap/fly over the top as rain cover? I'm wondering if this would be enough to keep the rain off if the second poncho was hung across the diagonal? I'm thinking two ponchos then became a hammock & tarp system in one? Love to see a video on this?

Thanks for asking Carl - Yes you can use a second poncho as a fly cover over a hammock made using the same size or smaller poncho. Because when you hang a hammock you have a bit of draping it winds up about 6” shorter than when laid flat. I don’t hang the cover diagonal as it’s hard to still get good coverage. I’ve made a couple of videos showing this, but I can’t recall the names of them now. I’ll make another tomorrow. There are two tie outs centered at the ends of the poncho so when I lay it out as a tarp cover, I like to use a couple of our shock cord loops to secure to the hammock suspension. Next just pull out the corners and stake down, you’re set !! Simple. - - Perry

I have one of your Osni Cloaks size PSSxL x Wide , I would like to get a poncho to go with it. Your wide versions are limited, can I use a normal width poncho with a wide cloak will it snap together ? Do I need the wide poncho for it to work ? What problems would I run into mixing sizes ? What is the heaviest strength material you offer in the wide version ponchos. I am probably wanting to go with a nylon or Cordura material. Thank you for your time.

We don’t really have xWide Osni, they are all made from factory width fabric so they don’t vary more than a couple of inches. As for width any poncho can work with any Osni. The only size problem you would encounter is the length, for that either match sizes, ie PSSxL to PSSxL, or order a smaller Osni than poncho, ie PSSxL poncho with a PSSLE Osni. As for Poncho strength the general default answer I give is go to our HD series, these are Cordura Nylon fabric, super tough and really work well, in your size they will be about 3 1/2 pounds, you can save close to a pound by going to our HD Ripstop w HMPE grid, more expensive but lighter, or even more expensive is our Technical fabric ponchos. Hope that helps. My direct email is perry@wildernessinnovation.com

I didn’t see the extended question there. We only have one fabric that is xWide, it is in our xWide poncho line 2.2 oz honeycomb ripstop nylon.
