The sleep pad looks comfortable but over-all impractical outside of camping from a vehicle. And at that point I wouldn't worry about how light the tarp is.
I still can’t find a video that has the setup you sent me. I guess I have the shuttle sling. But I have two Dyneema loops. Not a rope with two eyes. How to I feed a loop thru the end of the hammock? Or better question, how do I attach the loop to the hammock?
It did not come with aluminum toggles. So I’m confused how it loops thru the hammock, connects to the soft shackle, then to the tree, without aluminum toggles
are all junipers edible? witch one is this Rocky Mountain, Utah, California, Common Juniper, are they all pretty much the same? I would assume this one is not creeping considering it’s a tree.
Thank you for this video! Love the invaluable information, and your excitement about nature and how we can benefit from it is so refreshing! Blessings.
The tri-pod idea is good. If you'll raise one corner of the tarp above the rest your smoke will follow it out. With the wind to the low end. No smoke, stay dry and warm.
Does anyone know what’s going on with Wilderness Innovation?? I’ve been trying to get an update on my order that I was told would go out in “a couple weeks or so” on March 13. No response to my texts or phone call. What’s the deal?? I need this poncho for a training event.
Morning Perry, I just saw on another RU-vid channel, a vendor coping your Poncho and Tent Pole sleep cover. BTW, I haven't been able to connect to your website in the pass week.
Did anyone actually manage to purchase and receive one of those? I bought one Osnee months ago and I have not even received an order number from them. Every time I contact WI number they tell me a different excuse and say that my item is being in production… I don’t know what to think at this point…
Thanks for the great idea, I just made a set! One modification I made though was to hammer down/in the sides of the top to make a smooth channel along the top. I like to set up tarp up in an adirondak-style configuration, with the front held on on sticks. So having those channels means that if I have two trees to hang from and don't need the stand, I can take the pin out and use the poles to hold up the corners of my tarp!
My elders say don’t use snow if you’re dehydrated it just makes you more thirsty I spend a lot of time in the bush as did they you can melt it though if you see how much snow it takes to make a cup it’s like the same thing going in the body it takes a lot of effort also there’s dirt animal piss everywhere..try it yourself you’ll give yourself a headache if you don’t believe me
Haha cool video… now I have to subscribe to see that doomsday machine!😃 I just bought a old tote gote, and pulled out the 5HP running Briggs engine and put in a 6.5 HP Harbor Freight engine, waiting on the exhaust pipe and muffler this week… can’t wait! Thanks …nice video!💥💣😎
What’s best is turn around or turn off interstate to state highway and nearest motel. Only if motel is booked stay in vehicle at parking lot. Remember to have about $300 in twenties for lodging and meals since power may be out, meaning no credit. I’ve been in 5 white out blizzards in Kentucky, North Carolina, Wyoming, Michigan, and Indiana to fully understand this is the only route to assure you don’t die, period.
The crazy creek hex 2.0 powerlounger can act as the tree in order to be able to have a very nice back rest wherever you go. A flipstick cane, the walkstool comfort and the helinox chairs with the high backs are also really nice to have.
As part of my edc I carry the flipstick cane and the ul poncho and amazingly they both fit in the propper usmc assault pouch. And to make the flipstick cane be more comfortable to sit on I cut to size and glued a very comfortable kneeling pad to the seat.
I have a request. Many of us side sleepers need a bridge hammock. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how that could be incorporated into a PSS type system, but can't figure it out. I'm pretty sure you could figure it out though, and make a product that has multiple uses. If you choose to persue this request, good luck. 😊
I bought one look up my last vid on utube btw great will be carrying hunt to add an extra layer use under my poncho in the rain hunting bow hunting. Thank you for putting on it good gear!
I found range green incredibly effective for times when your moving in and out of urban environments into surrounding foliage such as forests etc, works very well.
