As the story goes, not a single time did I face any issue with parallel parking during lessons. But on the fateful day of the test (G2) this week, I got real close to the curb and I remembered this video that helped me make a perfect correction. Thanks a ton Mr. Harminder! Thanks! I always parallel parked, 2-step, in a big car, bigger than all other cars taking the test, perfectly during lessons. I practiced a dozen times parallel parking right before the test, still perfect. Never hit the curb during driving lessons. My instructor used to set cones on rough areas with leaves, snow ... to practice parallel parking. In the driving test, the cones were set differently, the examiner blocked visual markers I used. I hit something, I thought I hit snow. I didn’t know what to do. It was just snow, so I stepped on the gas to ride over the snow, without realizing I already hit the curb and just rolled over the curb! It was the first time I hit the curb, in the driving test!! So go for the test in a small car, learn 3-step parallel parking with backup mirror, NOT 2-step without backup mirror, and learn how to see you are getting too close to the curb, and learn how to correct it when you are getting too close.

First of all Thank a lots for this vedio Sir ! Every examiner see the safty . I would say only its depends on examiner . Some of the examiner don't notice on parkings but they watch how u perform on the Road with safty. Finally Its depends on Examiner.

I did my test last week, while on driving training never did I hit or even go too close to the curb so I never got a chance fixing or correcting parallel parking that is too close to the curb.I was so confident in parallel parking. I am so grateful in this video because on the day of my test I did hit a bit of the curb and I was shock and nervous what to do and how to fix it I remember this video but forgot the proper step by step but at least I got an idea of how to fix it. While I'm fixing it ( car not even straight yet) the examiner told me "that is ok let's go". At the end she congratulated me and told me the way I hit the curb is not dangerous and that I know what to do and how to fix it. She mentioned that I know how to drive safe and that's most important. I'm so thankful for her kindness and consideration and for this video, it help me to passed my test, if I didn't even watch this I don't even have an idea what to do. Thank you. God bless!

@@darlyncastillo5072 oh word same here! well tbh you are not alone😭, i failed yesterday too💔..& it was my 4th time take the driving test man oh man i rlly wish i passed i need my drivers license to live cuz I’ve just been surviving💯😮‍💨 my mom & i agreed that i did very well during the parking part of the test but during the road test i was great until i got kinda nervous towards the end. cuz of missed points , i failed unfortunately. to make things 20x worse right b4 i was bouta finish the road test , i eventually hit the concrete wall thing😪 after i did the forward park FML I need a Therapist

I am not in toronto and its been 2 years but the answer for me will. It depends on the examiner. One Hit to the curve wont just make you fail the whole test. If you correct your self you ok but if you keep doing it then yes.

Yes you will gonna fail but you have to correct it properly if you hit the curve stop and correct it immediately but watch out or be aware of your surroundings it's the matter of driving safe😊

I did two things wrong that made me fail my first attempt: forgetting to turn right on a red light, and absolutely destroying my parallel park. I practiced until I could do at least 5 perfect parallel parks in a row but my nerves really got to me on the test so now I'm trying to drill the procedure as much as I can into my head before my retake. January 4, 2023. I'm booked for that day. Wish me luck!

When you go to correct yourself since you would be driving g out would you also signal left , then signal right again to begin the correction backing in again? Or keep the initial signal right on?
