This is great! My parents wouldn’t let me get my license until I could parallel park, change a tire and drive a standard transmission. My first car was a Jeep Wrangler, an old one! Not a new, fancy one! My dad parked my his and my mom’s cars in front of the house and made me parallel park 100 times. I’m grateful that they were tough on me and made me learn everything because I was a pretty good driver even as a 16 year old.

This is the easiest technique I’ve found to parallel park. 1. Get as close to the car you’re going to park behind without scratching it. 2. Make sure your side mirror lines up with the other car’s side mirror. 3. Put your car in reverse, and turn the steering wheel 360 degrees right. 4. Let your foot off the brake and then stop when your side mirror lines up the car’s taillights. 5. Then, turn all the way to the left and let your foot off the brakes until your car is parallel to the curb.

When I went for my driving test, during the parallel parking sequence, I pulled up to the car but another car was behind me and started honking when I was reversing and tried cutting into the park space that the instructor told me to go. Then the other person in the vehicle came out and gave me an ear full and the instructor told him that I was in a test but he didn't care or went away so the instructor called the cops and they came and told the guy to move along which he finally did after flipping me off and we went back to the test center, reversed parked into the parking space and gave me a pass lol.

I got my driving license two years ago. I live in a small town where I never had to use pararell parking until I started working in a bigger city. There I must pararell park. The first time I tried many times and failed, I ended up my driving much further so that I could just park in a simple way (perpendicular parking) but that parking place was not free of charge. The second day, I watched this video right before I went to work. I wanted to park at that free parking spot. I was worried I won't be able to park in pararell even after watching the video. But guess what... I parked right away, first time! I couldn't believe it, I was so happy. I had as much space as shown in the video though. I'm not sure if I'd manage with less space. But this video gave me hope. Thank you! 🌹

I feel so stupid looking at this video. I never got it parked ever, even though I cleared my driving test. During my driving test, I hit the cone and I believe the officer didn't notice and fortunately cone didn't fall down either. I am going to try this soon to see if I can park correctly.

whenever someone doesn't know how to parallel park, I send them this video and it always fixes the problem. I love how it is universal no matter the length of the vehicle your driving or lining up next to, unlike some strategies that seem like they will only work if using vehicles of the same length. Simply perfect.

Thanks for this tutorial! I failed my first road test because of my absolutely terrible parallel park and because I forgot to turn right on a red light. This seems more simple to remember the cues than the parallel parking method I was taught before. Time to practice until I nail this one! My goal is to get at least 5 successful parallel parks in a row before my next road test.

It has been 10 years since I passed my driving test, I've only parallel park 5 times. I do Bay/ reverse parking mostly. But sometimes you gotta parallel park like a pro so this video helps a lot. Thanks

My driving test was earlier today . Found this video + another yesterday . Watched a total 4 times plus 1more before waiting for my test to start. Only thing I was worried about was parallel parking as I only practiced 2 times on a different vehicle. Test results came back, I needed improvement on the rest (not make wide turns and observe more) but I did good on the parallel parking .. therefore I passed ! So happy I did ! I’d like to thank this video and the other one 🙌💕

i’m going to have to get my license soon, and this is something that i’m worried about, but this video seems to explain how exactly to parallel park really well, so i feel less nervous about doing it wrong. i know that parallel parking is a big thing that people worry about messing up, but this video helped calm my worries

If you are nervous, just know I took my road test today and I felt like I drove like absolute shit. And I passed with almost no demerits. Scans scans scans! Exaggerate the head movement. Beyond that, you are golden.

I literally didn't practice this once and didn't know it would be in the test. Then the lady's like, "ok last thing, we're going to do some parallel parking." Somehow managed it tho. Fck that was the worst stress ever.

I think this example is too generous, lol! The space left for you to park is what I call "luxurious". Often times in cities, you get cars that are parked too close to comfortably follow the cues this video shows. It's Good for suburban areas, but in city? Well, you just need to experience it :P
