I realise that I spent 10 minutes explaining how to do something which is 3-4 clicks! Jump to 4:33 if you just want to quickly see how to do this!

hey man, so dont hate me, but my window focus works. so i think there might be some other cause for your windows being shy and popping up behind others. I'm still on 2017 pro if that makes a difference, i dont have a clue what the cause of the issue could be or where to begin looking for it. Or im the one with the bug, and this bug just so happens to fix that issue. on a side note, I gather you are supper busy, but you had a chance to have a crack at that motor winding thing i sent you. I think I found a way to sanely do it using the "cable and harness" or "Tube and pipe" tool in the environments tab when in an assembly. havent had a play with it yet, but the drop down tool tip thing makes it sound like a smart way to do it.

Is there any way to have textures continue around fillets and chamfers, rather than have them applied with new UV map on each feature? I am working on rounded building corners, having trouble getting the textures to continue around the corners uninterrupted. Thanks

Yeah, you did make one in the past ,I think about stone and stainless. But hey ,you got to provide the aholes with new material to steal and put it on their site. Next they gonna mail to ask you when you will upload a new one ,and oh and while you a it upload it to asiacad saves me a download. :-)

Making the transition from Solidworks to Inventor, is nice to know that I'm not the only one swearing and cursing every time you try to do a simple task LOL

To anyone that's used Maya or 3DS MAX, the entirety of the material & texture application in Inventor makes no sense. As an SE, I worked on rendering and graphics tools in video games. If I implemented the workflow like this and gave it to some artists they would have laughed at me. Also, Inventor Studio in general, like the fuck man? Those cameras, so intuitive.

Studio feels like it was an intern project one summer.

LOL ... at your Autodesk frustrations !!!! You should really run Autodesk. We would probably get a much better, more user friendly program with you running the show !!!

hey mate, i noticed that on 2018 inventor when you click on adjust material, there is no rotate/scale gizmo. in 2017 there is a move gizmo, but you can not move the material, only rotate and scale. i am very disapointed in inventor recently, i was a big fan of it, but now considering to switch. other than that, i always was and am a big fan of yours, always recomend your videos, they are great and informative, especialy i like the "wafaling". and this video is yet another job well done!! 2 words for you: good job :)

Hi Neil! Thank you again for amazing video, and I would like to give one suggestion. I don't know what do you think about this, but for me it could be amazing idea for the Channel. The Idea is next: To start-focus more on videos that are used in "Autodesk Inventor Certified Professional Exam". I want to say that in this you could find amazing themes, and you can give to people some details about that, and how to do it. From Advanced Modeling chapter to Sheet Metal. ILogic, Weldments etc. etc. Again Thank you mate!

Thanks Neil. Watched this last September. Got a few minutes spare at work so watched it again. I've got to sort out our work's materials etc. They've been copied and re used since about 2007 and everything looks wrong. The waters are less murky now. Thanks. Jim.

Hi Neil, Thank you for your video. Small question, how to export from Inventor to Collada DAE? How to maintain texture mapping during export?

I believe the active window not being brought to the foreground is a Windows problem. It's especially delicious when an app throws up a confirmation dialog box, and you sit there for several minutes until you realize it's waiting on you to respond to it.

I swear....it's like the programmers working on Inventor, have never actually used the software.

Just found your Inventor tutorials and they're great thanks! I shall be recommending your channel to my Engineering students to learn Inventor properly after I have confused them!
