Hi Dan! I'm a new firestick user. Your videos are very helpful for me. I had a problem with my controller or the firestick but I got frustrated 😥 and went and bought a new one 🙃 I got the 3rd Gen because I don't have 4K and not sure it would be faster. Hi Cindy, great question. i do get this question a lot so i think that will be my next video. but to make a long story short, when it comes to the firestick family, your going to get the best performance out of the 4K Max. you don't need a 4K tv, that's just an extra feature that you can use if you had a 4K tv. its everything else that makes the difference. if your still within your return period, i would swap it out for a 4K Max. you'll thank me later. ill be more detailed on my video. thanks and hope this helps

Thank you for this, but when I calibrate my fire TV stick screen aspect ratio, it doesn't expand the screen to fit the TV. there is still an empty band either side of the screen (not on the top or bottom). This means that the images that I can see are slightly concertinaed. This has only just started and I have changed ti fire stick but it happens on all the fie sticks I try. NB the aspect ration on my cable TV is fine!. Any suggestions?

Hi Dan Have a curious problem. Sometime, when i change chanel , the new chanel size is different from my regular size aspect ratio. Sometime it is 1/4 of my tv on the upper left coner of my screen and i still see the previous chanel fix image in the background. Sometime the new chanel image is way bigger than my tv screen. To fix that, i have to return to the main menu and back . # months ago i had the same problem and it disaper for month. Now it is back. thank

Hi Dan…new to your channel…I’m still getting, what I call a picture box around the screen…I have a brand new Firestick 4K…using 3rd party streaming, VPN, Ad Blocker, etc, etc…how else can I fix the screen to be full screen and not a picture box (black around the screen)? The Aspect Ratio is at No Scale already🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi Dan, I don’t see all the arrows, I only see 2 and my picture is going more to the right, is there an easy fix to this?

There is no calibrate display option on newer fire stick for fire tv. Once in awhile miraculously my screen expands properly top and bottom on movies like it should. Most of the time I get the. Choice of watching a shortened screen or not watching at all. Am so ticked!! 🤬

Hey man I need help, so my controller sometimes lights up a red light idk what it means and sometimes it doesn’t let me use the controller it’s says that it cannot find a controller connected

Red Scan Light - this means the barcode button is being pressed on the remote control. Amber LED light blinking eight times - this means the Wi-Fi setup has failed. Red LED light - the battery is low or empty. Amber LED light blinking 30-40 seconds - the device is updating. thanks

@@marcoaviles1435 In your case it means your batteries are low. that's why it keeps disconnecting from the firestick.
