There is no calibrate display option on newer fire stick for fire tv. Once in awhile miraculously my screen expands properly top and bottom on movies like it should. Most of the time I get the. Choice of watching a shortened screen or not watching at all. Am so ticked!! 🤬
Hi Dan Have a curious problem. Sometime, when i change chanel , the new chanel size is different from my regular size aspect ratio. Sometime it is 1/4 of my tv on the upper left coner of my screen and i still see the previous chanel fix image in the background. Sometime the new chanel image is way bigger than my tv screen. To fix that, i have to return to the main menu and back . # months ago i had the same problem and it disaper for month. Now it is back. thank
Terrible video, the fire stick port is micro USB and it has USB 2.0 speed and that's why it's slower and gives you under 100mbps but the adapters you used were 10/100 speed. If you got an Ethernet adapter that's gigabit usb 3.0 speed you’ll see maybe about 200-400mbps, because the fire stick port is older tech (micro USB 2.0) meant for power mainly. Also the benefit of ethernet is if you get lag from so many different internet signals/connections being around, bouncing off each other, from neighbors or even appliances. Fire stick otg and a ugreen adapter are a great combination. Only called the video terrible because more factors go into Wi-Fi or internet connections that you used, there's so many more factors
Dan, Great video! You mentioned your Firestick is connected to your computer. I have a Mac with a M processor and would like to connect a Firestick to it. When the setup asks the brand of TV, where do I go from there?
I have a fire 75in tv, I purchased a cat8 ether net cable, a the usb adapter, plugged them my tv says it wired connection but not on internet. I AM STOMPED PLEASE HELP
i'm looking for an app that will start a 20 min timer on the tv, notifying kids to ready for 20 first, then the tv can turn on to watch content. and can be turned off with pin.. does anyone know that one? Ive searched and haven't found it yet
This isn’t helping me. Can you two me how to fix this? My screen fits up and down but in the left and right side is about 5 inches of black. I wish I could send a picture but please help me.
I have a 1000Mbps internet. I bought a new TP link Wifi 6E router (6 external antenas) and my fire TV Stick 4K Max in 5Ghz and 6Ghz get to 430Mbps. The port of the Fire TV Stick is micro Usb 2.0 so it's limited to 480mbps (real max speed via a 1Gb USB ethernet adapter is 330Mbps). My Hisense UK8 Tv in Wifi get to 540-600mbps. Because the ethernet port of the tv and many devices are limited to 100Mbps (92Mbps), and my Tv has a USB 3.0 port i bought a 1Gb Usb -A 3.0 ethernet adapter and now via the 1Gb ethernet adapter i get 919Mbps speed. So is you are limited by the device USB port (2.0) is better to buy a good Wifi router with external antenas.
I have also notice while trying to use the Amazon ethernet adapter firestick wouldn't recognize my external storage like a flash drive or at least mine wouldn't. When I went back to Wi-Fi connection firestick seen my flash drive external storage. Just my observation and running speed test on my systems I noticed a big change also. Thank you for the video.
Great Video and most of the answers are correct, a 4K Firestick will work great on just a 30mbps internet speed technically it does not need to go any faster. There is a rule of thumb for connecting devices to an network, if it's fixed in place then ethernet cabling is the way to go, if it's a laptop or tablet then wi-fi. The design idea behind the Firestick is to go for wi-fi as this means less cables, which is fine, but the problems start when you have a house like mine that blocks around 95% of 5Ghz and 80% of 2.5Ghz which means that wi-fi to where our TV sits is a non starter and had to be wired in, with a network adaptor which worked great until we upgraded to fibre internet and have a 500mbps speed. This had problems as the whole network was only running at 100mbps, turns out that my wi-fi repeater, switch and Firestick were the problem and causing the slow running. to solve this I got a ISP gigabit capable router from eBay (£1.00/$1.00) which was put into access mode, and provides around 450mbps from it's ethernet ports and a wi-fi signal that the Fire stick reports as 250mbps.
