3 Most important things about crimping lines, leaders, and lures.
#1 Choose the size crimps that match the leader you are using
- There are charts available for this online
#2 Choose the correct crimp tool for the crimp you have selected
#3 Do not overtrump, anglers do not want to CRUSH the leader material in the crimp, simply press firmly and if the crimp size matches the tool you are good to go. The tool will have sizes printed on it that match the crimp you are using.
Bonus: Do not buy cheap crimps, saltwater destroys everything!
