66L is the best option as it leaves you plus versus all versions of teleport, often plus enough to let you punish it even. If you do it late you will often hit him out of 66L/66M. If you do it early you will end up sideswap and +. Versus 22H you will go under and can punish.
wow thanks, I didn't think about this. Seems like you can react with around the same timing as the neutral jump method but it always leads to a punish if you don't get hit in your startup. 66l is just that good rn I guess . neutral jump is easier to press quickly though and has more consistent startup but this problem lessens if the dash macro is used.
Hello fellow Ferry players, just here to say that you can use light DP to reliably hit every single version of the move as it’s super active and has low recovery, the punish is low damage but Lucilius has now used his teleport for the time being and he’s not in your face
wow, 12 active frames and a 6 frame startup. something that has a fast startup, long active frames and high enough hitting is another option then. how is the lucilius matchup for ferry
@@vund3r I still feel like I need more time to fight the character to fully get a grasp but for early days impressions, I feel Lucilius wins the MU as when he has teleport, all of Ferry’s normals have too much endlag to risk throwing out in neutral and if you let him get in once, it feels very difficult to get him off you due to all the ways he has to make himself plus, it’s another thing to use the light dp in neutral when you’re ready for the teleport, it’s another to react with it in pressure when you’re crouch blocking looking for multiple other things Her 5f.L helps against awkward distances in his block strings however, though that’s for every character If any Ferry player wants to chip in and give advice they’re very welcome to
My strat is pretty similar against the tp, I like having an OS that just covers all versions of the tp so I just do late teching with jabs against lucilius, this way I get time to still do dp even if my tech attempt whiffs. I just do delayed dp vs all versions of tp as most regular looking dps like gran, djeeta, vira , katalina etc... Can dp all versions of the tp consistently without whiffing with a minor delay. Using medium dp is also possible here as lucilius can not fake his tp and dp always beat any of his choices once he goes invisible.
As Zooey I had great success just using SBA on reaction against teleport since it covers all of them. Of course you'll need meter but Lucilius players at my level (S) often feel compelled to use it no matter what because they want to get use out of all of their cooldowns.
I weirdly find reacting to the H teleport easier than anti airing regular jumps (using 2h for both) maybe its me being in A/S rank where most lucillius' just use H teleport so I can assume its that when he dissapears and am ready for the air appearance but to my brain it feels slower than a regular jump and I anti air it way mroe consistently.
some laggy ass player was spamming those teleports to me (first time playing against him), as soon as i started anti airing the dive guy gave up and ragequitted
It's a binding vow like in Jujutsu Kaisen. My power increases as I explain how my techniques work like a typical anime villain. I have some counter vids on Belial in the works as well.
The block and react and neutral jump options in the video have you covered then. Or use ultimate forward skill or 623u when you have meter. But yeah, no meterless reversal rn is rough.
Eustace Ult rush is his actual real DP. Sucks that it uses meter for it, but as a fellow Eustace enjoyer, I suggest trying to condition Lucilius to use teleport or jump into ur range by cancelling his fireballs with ur own charged forward fireball, and just slight-zoning with his down fireball and grenades.
Also, it's possible to react to all Lucilius teleports with L rush into DP immediately. At worst, you'll miss his air teleport but you should be safe when you land.
You know what? Between the full screen super, instant transmission and ultra priority fireball its hard to think of anyone that actually outclasses him in reacting to people using fireballs. I wonder how he is into ferry though.
@@vund3r Maybe it is a skill issue, but my Ferry gets blasted by this dude daily. I'm an S Rank Yuel and Ferry-main. Yuel is 1000% better at that matchup, and maybe even in her favor lowkey.
@@paulnoell39 I'm a Eustace main and sometimes even I struggle. I might be able to cancel his fireball with my own, but he can easily just teleport or not throw it out so I always have to be on the lookout. And on top of that, his long normals constantly keep me out of my preferred range, so I definitely understand.
