I am genuinely impressed with the level of incompetence with how poorly explained each step is. If English is the issue, get someone who can translate and do a VO for the process. Great job Creality! 🙂

Hot glue is easy to deal with. Also I suspect most people doing this upgrade would have already switched to the silent main board

90% alcohol on the hot glue will make it brittle and easy to pick off

Should work with regular firmware, the step motor shouldn't need any retraining

So I switched out my bowden to a direct drive and now the printer doesnt work at all 😂 I can only laugh because this thing has only gave me 2 good months before turning to crap. Anyone have any tips on what I may have done wrong before I throw $300 away?? Thank the lord it wasnt a $1000 printer 😂

uh, glued the connectors in, making this mod may require a new main board, worst quality design.

Good idea but the Ender can’t handle the weight unless you also make the double z axis mod

i'm running this since a couple of months, it can handle the weight easily with no problem. Have you tried it or you're just spewing out nonsense

@@Electro-cops pff, how often do you go that high with your prints? Direct drive has so many benefits over bowden in print quality, 40mm less in z height is just a minor issue that's easily mitigated by laying the piece flat on the bed with the largest dimension on x or y

Creality are garbage, they have used a quick release hose that cannot be released....... They tell you to remove the whole fitting. This is the last creality printer I buy, everything is hard work and poorly documented.

I’m going to mod it myself, no need to buy one when the printer literally comes with that! Just extend the wires and 3d print a mount for it, then just cut the ptfe, and mount it all together!
