Let's Crack UPSC CSE

There’s no doubt that applying to Global Business Schools can be a very stressful undertaking. Researching MBA programs, taking the GMAT, writing essays, and running around for recommendations can be downright difficult.
Piyush Pratik went through a journey no different. He could not get through any global B-school last year but that feeling could not hold him back from trying again, so he came back with a bang and cracked not just one but four of the most prestigious universities in the world - Harvard, Stanford, Wharton and Kellogg School of Management.
His academic and professional record is as follows:-
- Graduated from IIT Delhi with a degree in Biotechnology.
- Joined Management Consulting at Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant.
- Moved to InMobi to pursue his interest in internet technology. Started with Product Marketing. Presently Director of InMobi's Remarketing business, leading strategy & business operations for US, EU, LATAM, and India markets.
He spent his childhood in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia), having moved there at age 10. Came back to India after Class X, completed Class XII from DPS RK Puram, New Delhi.
A short summary of his academic/extra-curricular achievements profile:
- Graduated top 3 of his class at IIT, with a CGPA of 8.7/10. Won the BOSS (Batch of '77) Award, IIT Delhi for the best final-year research project. Also published 2 papers in international journals on his work (cancer research).
- Has a passion for theater, which he pursued very actively at IIT Delhi. Performed at various intel-college competitions at national level, winning several awards.
- Was actively involved in student government at IIT. He was elected to the top student position of responsibility (House Secretary), where he led end-to-end operations of his hostel; he was also a student representative at the IIT Delhi Senate.
- Recipient of the Director's Gold Medal, IIT Delhi for being the best all-rounder of the graduating batch.

@kenshook
@kenshook 5 лет назад
Those marks don't really matter. They are taken into consideration but the GMAT is brought into existence because they know that the college and school marks can't really measure your skill level academically. What you are today will be seen by the B-Schools abroad. That consists of everything like personality, gmat score, work experience, extra curriculars, future goals and aims and your overall application process. Honestly I'm surprised how this guy even got in. No spark whatsoever about him, confidence is bullshit. Total Nerd who faked it to get it. Considering him, everyone has a proper chance to get in. Cheers.
