Haha true. It also pairs well with almost all of the fire incantations in the game. It’s not just the best/easiest it’s very versatile too. But DLC will change that I think.
@@AverageGamerMattthat’s when you do great stars with prayerful strike lol. Really hoping holy is powerful in dlc. Wanna use holy abilities so bad. Duel sacred bandit sword.
This channel is the best, I follow a lot of elden ring channels, but no one explains how to buff with this detail, step by step. Really aprecciated. 🙌💪 and tnx for taking the time to answer everyone! Best from 🇦🇷
Yeah but two seals is an always buff, shield runs out and takes using for the buff. Personally I always stack two seals over shield, just smoother game play imo. I dont generally use a bunch of buffs in the first place either tho.
@@ormrinn it’s also for late game/first runs too, where getting 2 seals can be difficult. But yeah once you’re in NG+ you can deff run 2 seals. I prefer added damage when I can though. 🤘
Know why faiths been the best? Most consistent builds to walk everyone through the game. Wanna have fun? Fire. Bois need a one shot or ez dps check?Lightning. Pvp help? Staggers and roll checks? Threads, beast, roars literally anything. Bois need help learning a boss? Buff heal lord. Theres never been a situation i couldnt piece together a win con however you want it. Weapons? The list is endless. Combo builds with any other class? Works with every class... best support, range dps and whatever element/weapon.
Someone already said this, but you really do put out kick ass Elden Ring content, dude. Like they said, I follow a lot of elder channels and lately. I’ve actually stopped watching a lot of them because they’re either just for entertainment, which is fine, but you don’t learn anything, or something redundant that every Elden ring channel has put out at least once. Your videos are truly innovative, a lot of the time. More than just innovative, though, they’re really helpful in a thoughtful way. I appreciate the hell out of your help throughout my time in this game . I used talk text for this by the way, because I’m driving, so if this is like. . I guess like talk text ish at all, now you know why lmao. Anyway, cheers bro! Keep the content coming, I’d love to see more videos like this on all aspects of the game.
One detail I feel merits mentioning here: The erdtree seal is not only the best seal for healing incantations, but also for weapon buff incantions. Like healing incantations, they also only scale with your seal's faith scaling.
I still perfer FGMS over Howl. Howl gives you the 5% extra damage but dropping your negation by 30% sucks, also FGMS gives you the turtle talisman effect also and a quick cast if you need to rebuff mid fight. For general play FGMS is far better. Howl is better for no hit runners or just 1shot builds
@@AverageGamerMatt i do alot of co-op helps and the biggest thing i see is people running Howl in the dlc and getting 1 tapped. Usually howl with rakshasas armor. I know straight away whats coming 😅
This was a really good, look behind the curtain, of how to put together a build. Everything makes sense and could easily be copied for other damage types. Like int builds. 👍 If this is an example of your content, take a well deserved sub. 😁
Okay so I’m confused with the ashes of war, if I’m using flaming strike on a KGS should I invest my stats into strength or should I mostly be pumping faith since faith correlates to fire? But fire also scales with strength so I’m confused
Flame art will let you have fire ashes that can scale with faith & AR. The only thing is with flaming strike the initial fire has strength scaling, but it’s the smallest part of the ash damage wise. So go flame art & all faith. 🤘
I have been using the Dragon Seal with Black Fireball, Blood Flame blade, and a whole bunch of other guff that are all different types of Incantation (and I thought you could just mix and match like Sorceries), and I don't know how to use any of it properly and end up just hitting the enemies over the head with a Longsword I got in hour two because the thousand weapons I collect also mean squat, and I end up getting terrorised in the 40 attempts at killing turds like the Draconic Knight ripping my face off ... and then you start the video killing a dragon boss with musical soap bubbles in three seconds 😢. I literally had no idea how any of this worked until now and I'm over 100 hours in, and that's because none of it is taught to the player - it's so opaque it makes me feel like I'm stupid. Also, these builds don't feel malleable enough, like you're locked into a certain way of speccing, but how can a person know that unless they've played the game to death or ruined it with wikis and videos? These games have always had terrible onboarding and I'm not even sure why; at least show me the ropes and I can make the decisions from there, because how on Earth do you learn this without resorting to watching RU-vid videos which feels cheap and nasty and is ruining what is by most metrics a masterwork. I just think the mechanics need to be more transparent. Would an in-game build guide be bad? They could even be a collectable item like the maps or cookbooks, just throw me a thin beast bone here. You cannot expect a person to play a 200 hour game more than once and still have them stumbling in the dark reading "Try finger but hole" on every cliff edge.
This build took me through my first 2 play throughs. Absolutely insane build and very versatile. Switched to an int/ dex build however since the DLC looks VERY fire resistant lol
Just in case no one has said it yet you can stack the less potent version of Flocks Canvas (Faithful’s Canvas) together instead of ritual sword for more consistent damage if you want!
Most chargeable spell/skill will tell you in the item/spell description if it is chargeable. Usually they say smthg like, “charge the spell for more…”. Ive heard other youtubers say that godfrey icon only works if description says “charge spell for more potency or smthg”, but not if “charge spell for more lightning pillars [adls]”, which i think is misleading. Adls does benefit from godfrey icon ime, and reasonably so. While charging adls, according to desc, only increases the quantity, but not quality, of lightning pillars, there is still a charged and uncharged version. And as long as there is the former, godfrey icon will increase the quality/dmg, whether it is an increase in quality upon a previously nonexistent increase in quality (eg. adls), or a stacking increase in wuality upon a previously already existent increase in quality (eg. Night comet).
Dex faith builds are interesting. I feel like most weapons I've found so far that are faith also scale with str, not dex. Also I do not have most of those talismans yet lol
The dlc added a lot for faith & Dexterity. Base game leans STR for sure. And you’ll get them as you go! Make sure you get the shard & elemental scorpion charms. They’re very good 👍
@@AverageGamerMatt I don't actually have the DLC yet! I do plan to get it though, i'm just late to ER overall. So far Blasphemous Blade has been my best faith weapon, and just very good in general.
Hey man, im in need of some help. Im going for a build using the claymore and fire, think sun crusader or Solaire. Im wanting this for DLC, but i can't seem to piece it together. Do you have any suggestions?
I’m not the best with cosplay builds tbh, you can join the Discord and ask there. As for Solaire/sun light you could set the sword on fire with flaming strike. Or go for a holy/bright look with something like sacred blade.
I liked this format. Also the checklist towards the end was a helpful feature. Plus kudos for Iron GS (my fav) Edit: would be interested to see your approach to maximizing AR on a weapon with Quality
Great video for newer and casual players matt, I've been playing this game since launch though so i have a pretty good understanding of the game, my favourite elemental damage type is lightning, incantations and weapons/art, but i still learned a few things, thank you. I also always run with faith builds and i think it is going to play a big part in the dlc personally (Faith, Holy and lightning).
Thanks for your great videos ! I’d love to see a video with the best ghostflame builds with weapons like helphen steeple or godslayer greatsword! Death poker of course too :)) amazing content as always.
@@AverageGamerMatt keep up the good work man all this work will pay off! When this dlc drop I bet you’re gonna get a massive amount of followers. Good luck!
Look at its scaling on the weapon. Ordovis’s Greatsword for example has an “A” in strength and only a “C” in Faith. The only time Faith matters more is if the ash is all elemental, then it scales with faith on the ash.
love to see a faith build using seal in one hand for spells and magma blade in the other. All the magma blade builds I find online use duel magma blades. I have 3 of them so not an issue BUT I really like the idea of launching spells with one hand and magma blade in the other :( BTW thanks for another great video !
Thanks! 🤘 and I’ll look into it. That’s tough though honestly you’d be better with 1 bandit curved sword with flame art & flaming strike. That way you don’t need much strength & can invest a lot in faith.
It depends. Any seal with a boost you’re using will beat it out. For instant the giant seal boost burn o flame by 20%. So that 20% boost beats out the added scaling of the Erdtree seal. That’s just one example.
would winged sword insignia work for black flame since it burns over time? or would it hve to be separate fireballs? idk that makes sense in my head but maybe that would be broken lol
Just wondering, is a highly invested in Golden Order Seal gonna beat out the other Seals that boost damage of specific Incantations, dpecifically in their category?
At max level yes. The only one it doesn’t beat is the dragon communion seal when using dragon incantations (because it’s the only other seal that hits over 400).
@@AverageGamerMatt Thanks for answering! For clarification, would max level be 99 in Faith, or 99 in both Faith AND Intelligence? (I'm going with Int+Faith with the Prince of Death staff, Golden Order Seal and Sword of Night and Flame, etc)
Yeah man nice video, I like how you changed up the format and style a bit. Keep up the good work bro and I imagine many more subs in the future with the dlc coming out soon. 🎉
Wasnt that many buffs tbh, I've seen some builds pop the jellyfish shield, then seppuku with the white mask, then poison themselves while wearing the mushroom crown, then use a bloodboil aromatic, etc. Unlike that, this is fairly simple for a faith build
