When you fix the leaky values with the pipe wrench it allows you to switch from your NBC gear to the LEHS suit without having to worry about getting cuts :-)
Excellent Guide! Here are some pro tips: -to put on the suit, you have to strip not only your nbc stuff but also all the weapons on your shoulders. -if you kill sb with the spacesuit, it might be necessary to cut up the body and empty out the suits inventory before you can put it on. -once you know your way around the oilrig and you know what you are doing, you dont need a nbc suit anymore. Gas mask and 4-5 badages are enough if you make sure to immediately bandage all the cuts. -when at the oilrig, remember to loot the lantia pulsar locator which only spawns there -You can wear a belt as well as a mask and goggles item (for example nvg headstrap) with the suit. -you dont bleed from hits, but you can bleed from landmines, so alway carry one full bandage in the suit. You can also craft a splint from bandage in case of broken leg -space is limited in the suit, you have to really think about what you take with you. So heres your packing list: 1-2 guns with spare mag and spare bullets, 1x gun cleaning kit, 1x bandage, Good Knife!, belt with sheath/rope belt, cooking setup (gas stove), white gasmask + spare full filter, nvgs on a headstrap, 2x 9v batteries, Keycard+Pulsar locator -epipen(s) -food (maybe 1 hook) -most versatile guns to use with the suit are sks or vsd -having the cooking pot with stove makes your life so much easier, it is most important imo

And for those of you who are too lazy and impatient to just play the game organically, which is pretty much all of you, console commands or whatever cheating hack you choose is also an optional method to gain this gear.
Yea the was 30 seconds plus’s you were pass the portal went thru at 2:57 and then you could’ve pressed exit and waited the 30 seconds and I’m at 3:05 and you havnt got hurt yet
As a chronic close game when storm hits typa guy cause I’m caught lacking out side a house when it hits I press exit and timed it you can close and reopen after a minute max
the portal sends you to a random place (if button in A2 was not pressed) not to the submarine :D you can get to west too, I many time was sent to the outpost island.. and also it may just teleport you to somewhere on the island.. I ended up near Granny house multiple times :D once (on a modded server with cars) we drove truck into the orb, it ended up just under the same hill, like 3-400m
Put your sticks in water-resistant clothes. If they get wet, you won't be able to light a fire. Craft a fireplace kit. Take it in your hands, and make it full with big fire logs and sticks and put it in waterproof clothes or bags. Remove only a few each time you want to make a fire. A torch is also extremely useful. You can swim while carrying a bag in your hands and on your back. The railgun seems not to spawn anymore in lantia. i also didn't see the black lantia plate
The pipe wrench is to 100% eliminate the chances of you receiving a cut from the toxic gas. When you go to take off your clothes and put on LEHS suit, there is a slight chance that you can get cuts from the toxic gas. The pipe wrench solves that problem.
yepp, but someone else is going to have to come up and throw on the second suit. You can't store it in your inventory or hold the suit in your hands, you can only wear it or throw it on the ground 👨❤👨
I've made the suit a few times without the Pipe Wrench. Instead of putting on the mask from the MK3 suit, you will keep on the NBC mask and hood, this way you will get no cuts (maybe 1 if your slow to put the suit on). Not sure if this is server dependant. Great video anyways!
do you need full NBC when inside A3? the map marks it as bio toxic, but you mention a mask only.. but you're in the space-suit during all of the pre-suit quests.. so it's hard to tell
Use a torch with lots of fat on it! It heats you up while walking and also dries you… when you cross the waters it goes off, and you can light it up again
If you don't use the pipe wrench, it doesn't shut off the huge amount of gas leak that occurs at the top of the rig. So when you go to take your NBC gear off and switch into the suit, you have a small chance of getting cuts and/or the gas poisoning disease which is curable by the PO-X pen (which is hard to find). Unfortunately, fixing the leaky valves only lasts ~20 seconds and after that time the gas leak at the top of the rig turns back on.

The server I play on, everything bt the blue print spawns. The life boat is there bt bt spawns NAC docs, same document over and over so not sure what the problem is... life boat spawns messed up to so Im thinking its bugged.
Great video! I am planning to go to A3 with a buddy and he says that there is no toxic gas around A1. But he also said that he just ran by there when there was no storm active. Does the gas appear once you activate the switch at A2? I know all servers are different but the one I'm on is pretty much vanilla.
Welp, I now know exactly how tough this suit is. I just got the drop on someone wearing one - I hit them in the head with an SVD, thought they were dead. NOPE. As I was running down the hill they woke up, I then had to dump about 1.5 mags of AP into them from an AS VAL. After all this punishment the state of the suit was 'Damaged'. The helmet was pristine, I guess the suit takes all the damage. That or I missed the head, but I don't think so. Sadly it seems you cannot loot the suit off someone's body. You can grab the helmet but you can't put it on without the suit I think either. I messed around with it for a while to no avail. Didn't realise they were in a LEHS at first (was getting dark and 200m out) I felt a bit bad for them when I got close and saw it.
The suit was actually nerfed a couple months ago, it had a stupid amount of armor. The suit has amazing durability and can withstand a healthy amount of of bullet before you get knocked out. Best way to kill someone with the suit is by using the Mosin or any other weapon that uses 7.62 x 54. Most other bullet types will usually knock but i haven't tested every single bullet type to 100% call this a fact
@@potatoch7p yeah the SVD takes 7.62x54 so it does great, I was just amazed when they got back up haha. I'm editing a video which will include that footage, but I've got many hours of footage to edit first
What is the purpose for shutting off the gas on the rig? Since you have to keep the gas mask on, I'm wondering what that does as I've never seen someone do that. Great guide, thanks!
It allows you to take off the NBC gear and put on the suit, since you can't carry the suit you have to put it on. In order to do that you have to shut off the gas so you dont end up getting injured or sick when taking off the NBC gear
@@aermotors Yeah it honestly just prevents you from getting a bunch of cuts and the disease, if you're quick to put the suit on and get out then you wont get many cuts/the disease
I read in posts from a while ago that you only need a gas mask for A3 - is this still true, or if I go there without NBC or LEHS to protect the body will I do a big die? Great video btw, subbed :)
Its true, all you need is 1 gas mask with the filters (only gas mask that doesn't require a filter is the combat gas mask). I do recommend bringing multiple filters. Charcoal tablets can also help increase the life of filters (Just drag charcoal tablets on a used gas mask filter and it will give it more durability.
@@potatoch7p I'm a paranoid preparer so I have lots of filters - thanks! Usually my problem is carrying too much not too little. And the charcoal trick is news to me after thousands of hours of DayZ, amazing tip!
@@alejandroosses2746 Full NBC suit for oil rig. You can go without the NBC suit and just a gas mask but youll get cuts every 5/10 seconds, you'll need a lot of bandages (not rags or sewing kits, takes too long to heal). I'm talking 5-10 bandages. A3 you do not need any kind of suit to go there, just the gas mask :)
I've been on a Namalsk server for over a year and never once been on int ice or wanted to make a suit because I loved building my base next tot he Sebjan train yards and just farming that place for base building stuff, and I also inherited a TON of stuff from Lantia from a friend who had been there a year longer than me and I got everything he had. But now, knowing what I know...I would recommend going to the Bering Outpost first before anything to try getting an APSI helmet first to counter taking damage from the storm if jumping through the portal.
So i tried making the suit without the NBC gear and just a gas mask, and it was so much harder. I got cuts every 5/10 seconds. You theoretically can go without NBC gear, but you'll have to bring 10+ bandages (not rags or sewing kits they take too long to heal cuts)
