I am currently waiting for the process to complete. I used about 250 pictures from my drone to create a 3d model. The point map looked great, now I am waiting for it to texture. Great tutorial!
@@tristangramling8480 hey dude great video + ty. Got an idea, what if you make 3-5 min vids on how to correct common issues that come up. Like "my object is too grainy". You then construct a multishape (an object with flat, round, thin, broad etc sides/faces). Then you show how to correct it, and maybe some tweak(s) the pros use if available. My thinking is that there are many how to vids on blender and they all are largely the same. Where one's video(s) can get lost in all the 'blender noise'. So, maybe, a series of 'correctional' vids would be coming at blender from a different direction and get you more views. Think about it. A person can make an object then tweak it by looking up, via your playlist for these correctionals, the title they need. Most people won't use blender to it's fullest and this way it helps them more specifically, as they need it, when they need it (immediately no doubt) cut to the chase without having to hunt around for what they remember where in a lot of these blender vids that are much longer. These would be shorter and easier for you to make, and peeps can "buffet style" their blender skills. Fyi, hope it helps, thx agn. 👍✌🖖

Hi Tristan, thank you very much for this great tutorial. I would like to know what the best technique is to scan bowls, pots, cups & mugs. I'm having a hard time to get Reality Capture to read correctly the images. Would love to hear your advice! Cheers
awesome video. thank you for explaining the steps and tips. I do have a question. I made a model with Metashape, then i used Blender to clean it up. Afterwords, i wanted to 3d print the model. for some reason the scale was so tiny. Do you have any tips on the best way to scale a model either with metashape or blender. thank you in advance.
nice vid, just wondering if you delete the background in the pictures in photoshop before you import them in methashape, woudn`t that be much more easier for methashape to process it and get better results without the noise ?
@Ben But on their site it says: "New users can try Agisoft Metashape software either in demo mode (export and save functions are blocked) or test it in full function mode with 30-day trial license for free." ---- So free for only 30 days?
