I made this piece as a tribute to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayham movie (TMNT) coming out this week. I saw the trailer and was inspired by that. In this video, I'll show you how to transform a 2D concept into a stylized 3D character in ZBrush! We'll start with a basic concept and slowly add detail while taking into account the character's proportions and anatomy. By the end, you'll have a character that looks like it's alive in 3D!
If you're a sculptor or 3D artist looking to create high-quality 3D characters, then this video is for you! By the end of this lesson, you'll have learned how to design and sculpt a 3D character using ZBrush. Don't miss out - watch it now!

Fantastic work!! How do you set up your reference images, mainly the big one which you sculpt directly on top of?

Thank you. Actually I open the image in the background and use the transparency of zbrush to see through.

@@viktor-moor Just a quick question; How did you polygroup and separate the teeth at 1:57 and the layers of cloth around the nunchucks at 7:13?

@@aliqaheri2459 hey thank you for your question. I use the golygroup function with dynamesh. I hope that helps you 😊

May I ask a question? How do you usually work on the characters with the less detailed reffrence? Even without a basic detail like anime characters? I'm pretty good at creating any kind of characters but it would be so so hard for me when I can't see the basic details, even though that I'm Still learning the anatomy of the face it's still a bit hard for me to sculpt them when I'm not sure if I'm on the right road Can you give me a small peace of advice for that? Despite that I only want to give my time to create highly detailed, stylized, semi stylized characters I do like to practice on "the characters that it doesn't usually makes any sense" when I'm free😅

@@Freya-uu4du Sure. The best advice I can give is to practice a lot. I need only the idea of the character or just the direction. And the gaps I fill on my own with my experience. I know it’s very vague but it’s true. Keep practicing and you will be able to create characters from just using a quick sketch or a low resolution images.

@viktor-moor Thanks, I'll do my best I actually appreciate you're advice I did improved a lot by only practicing over and over again at first, some of my projects ended up with amazing results and some ended up with another results even that they were new I also saw from your videos that ur always comfortable with the brushes and the software itself, like ur not afraid to make any mistakes I need to be less hard on myself and to be comfortable too I do forget that sometimes And thanks anyway ❤️
