When I first saw this British hairdresser start to backcomb I was quite concerned that it was going to look a mess BUT the end results proved me wrong, pretty talented hairdresser this British dude is!
Hi Lindsey, thanks for the request. This is something that I will consider. I have made a note of your channel and will contact you if we decide to make this video! Thanks Stuart
I've watched this video so many times now so I think I'll give it a go. Should I wash my hair just before I try this. I ask because from what I know you shouldn't put hair up if it's too clean, is that right?
Hi Lindsay, your correct in saying that you shouldn't wash your hair just before you put it up. The reason for this is because it's easier to put up or back comb if your hair is a little dirty, especially more with hair up, compared to backcombing. If it's too clean it will tend to slip out and be generally harder to create an up style. I would wash it the night before, or in the morning if your styling your hair in the evening. Stuart
You can use a comb, although it's a little easier with a proper backcombing brush, similar to the one I use in this video. If you prefer it is safe to use a comb! Stuart
Hi Loretta, I trained for 4 years at Vidal Sassoon in London, I then traveled to Australia and put on my first hair-show and from this experience I learned so much! Stuart
Stuart Phillips thanks for answering Stuart. Do you get nervous at all doing celebrity's hair? Most likely, I guess, you are just confident in your abilities and it is not intimidating at all. You do great work. At any rate, how fun your work must be.
