If you have a Gabe's near nearby...they sell Chico's for a song. Sometimes I find Talbots and Coldwater Creek there as well. Make a list of the pieces in the video and go to it. Thrift and Resale shops can also be a place to keep it budget friendly.

terrific capsule - I agree with others that the price tag for everything would be prohibitive That said, the concepts of mix and match really work and you often have the basics already in our wardrobe and adding a few key pieces can really bring new life to your capsule

I would like to see an Old Navy capsule as we have it in Canada too. I always like that neon pink that you wear. I tried it but didn't think it looked great with my brown hair and brown eyes.

Love all these but buying so many accessories seem like a huge addition to the budget. Did you buy all the accessories or did you have. All look new.

Hard to choose favorites because they all looked great! The dress outfits called to me because I love dresses in the summer. My problem is that our summers are so hot that layering is impossible. One layer plus jewelry is all I can manage! The accessories you've chose are outstanding here.

I started working on a capsule wardrobe maybe a month ago. I realize that it's always a work in progress. Sometimes things just don't work no matter how carefully you tried to plan. Just this morning I decided to eliminate a short sleeve pinstriped shirt that doesn’t look the way I had hoped or represent my personal style. So into the donation pile!💙

I loved this video. I love Talbots too. It is too pricey for me though. Just looking at the items I think this could run about $5000.00 for the items. I live where the topper pieces would not be needed much if at all. I really love color too like you use in this capsule and you personal one. I would love to see you do this same thing with another store.

I agree about Talbots prices, but I rarely pay full price for anything from Talbots and most retailers that have online stores. Talbots has online sales offering between 20 to up to 50% off. Sometimes every thing is discounted, sometimes it’s shoes, tops, etc. Since I do the majority of my shopping online, this is perfect for me. Many times the same discounts are available on in-store purchases as well.

Cato’s may be a more inexpensive option to Talbots if you have one in your area. Also can check them out online. Positive - they have a full range of sizes

Last year my husband told me I look great in bright colors. I ditched the black and made some big changes adding beautiful pinks and blues. I use black sparingly now, more in the winter than summer. I love watching your videos because I feel I can relate to what you select to wear. Appreciate the information.

I cannot see myself, in this age where minimalism and slow fashion are king, cluttering my wardrobe with all those purses and shoes! Plus, living in northern Canada, these outfits would work only 2 months a year. No mention of boots, jackets, woollen sweaters, etc. I understand the concept though. Gives me a good base to work from. I enjoy your videos, keep them coming!

Anything with an orange jacket works for me! My best colour actually, it looks great worn in tandem with navy and aqua (also in my colour palette). Personally I'd swap the olive shorts for my olive jeans (now 4 years old and still loved). Such colourful capsule/garment combos, thank you Nancy. Lemon and yellow seem to be featuring strongly in my wardrobe right now. It's almost winter here, and cheerful colours make it bearable.

A great video with so many good ideas. I particularly liked the pineapple accessories. I noticed that in several outfits you used the bag to pull all the colours together. When getting dressed I often start with the bag and then put together an outfit to go with it.

We are going on a Caribbean cruise over Thanksgiving. All of these outfits would be darling while cruising! You wouldn't need a third layer during the day, but it does get cool in the dining room and shows at night so they could be incorporated there. I am going to try to figure out something similar on a bit of a smaller budget! :). Thank you for the wonderful ideas.

I like Talbots, yet have invested mostly in their pants due to price point. I like your your outfit combinations yet doing a capsule wardrobe I would have stuck to a small purse, a natural summery type material purse like you showed and a navy or patterned tote. I wear narrow shoe sizing so I wear mostly a Trotters loafer, a Keds sneaker and a Naturalizer "Banks" Flat which helps my feet and look more polished to me than a flat sandal. I love all of your outfits you put together! But the cost of the accessories out costs the price of the clothes them selves. I would like to see a video like this one, but only using say… Three bags and three shoes. maybe the bright orange tote, the madras handbag, and the round woven bag with the bamboo handle. And maybe the brown sandals, white sneakers, and plaid espadrilles. I think you could’ve totally done the whole look with just three bags and three shoes switching them around and it would look just as good as purchasing all of those different accessories. Now I know this was fun and you could just mix-and-match to your hearts desire, and that was so fun also… But in a real world, we can’t purchase all of those shoes and bags every year… At least most of us can’t! Please do more. Of these pick 10 pieces and mix and match to make as many outfits as you can. You definitely have an eye for that and I appreciate it so much!

It is a popular mature women's shop in Canada. The prices are quite reasonable. 👌 I would love to see a capsule wardrobe using their clothes. I would love for you to attempt to build a capsule wardrobe completely from shopping online. My faves at the moment are Banana Republic Factory (Banana Republic’s outlet store) and Ann Taylor; though Ann Taylor’s styles and quality have gone down recently.

I am sorry but it does not make sense to me to have 3 layers on top, ie t shirt, jacket and jumper over shoulder when wearing shorts , 3 tops make me think of keeping warm but having legs out and sandles on which is keeping cool seems to contradict in my mind.

I am shocked that you are able to just walk in and select 14 pieces! In my store, they don't have many items in my size or the color I want (I'm an autumn and pink is kept far, far away from me deliberately) or I try the items on and they look terrible or don't fit properly. I took a new black blazer to my tailor today for alteration. To fix the shoulders and turn up the sleeves will cost $100. The blazer cost me that so while it will fit properly, it is in essence, double the purchase price. I curse myself for donating all of my work clothes when I retired as many of the pieces could have been included in my capsule now.

I love the concept of a capsule wardrobe and see how the fourteen items work together. The issue I had with this video is that you used 44 different accessories to accomplish those 34 different looks! Yikes!
