I know I was saying "Pro Chord" as opposed to ChordPro, which just shows what an amateur I am.
In this video I show how to create a ChordPro format chord chart, from start to finish. It's long, but you can get the point after 4 minutes and bounce, or stick around and watch me trouble shoot some trickier issues as I build a ChordPro format chord chart in Planning Center.

(I haven't made it to the end of the video yet. Maybe you've discoverrd this by the end) Rather than starting to copy and paste from the beginning of the line, start at the end of the line. Then the chords will still be in their place above the lyrics for easy placement. Rather than having to remember their place (and sing out the change) to paiste the cord back in (don't know if that made sense).

I jumped around to see where you finally saved this so a new file was created called something like Firm_Foundation.chordpro - that you can then download any time to use on your device with your setlist software (I've got songbookpro that recognises that format). If you did show that an I missed it, can you tell me where in the video (e.g. 3:37). Thanks

Hey Trevor! In Planning Center, it saves to the Chord Section and creates a new chart that you can download whenever needed. But i usually don't export them to a separate piece of software. In the Planning Center Plan I click the "Rehearse" button (top right) and then "Download songbook. This creates PDFs of all the songs for that set, and then you can either print them, or load them into whatever PDF viewer you use on your iPad. I hope this helps! If not, let me know

i typed the song with chords above in ms excel and word, but the chords shift position when i put it in my android tab. is there an app or a format which i can add chords on the tab ?

Hi! Unfortunately I'm not familiar with creating ProChord format for Android. I'm so sorry! Maybe your android software that you're using doesn't support ProChord format? The software has to accept that format in order for this type of chart to work.

The problem I'm seeing is that I upload all of my song files from CCLI Song Select which automatically puts the song sheets in PDF format. What I'm seeing here is that I need to have each song in a MS Word document or some sort of editable software in order for this to work. Is there a solution to this, or am I stuck with how the songs are formatted from CCLI?

Ya, I don't like songselect charts...to cluttered/confusing. But unfortunately they only come in PDF's so you can't change the keys on the fly without downloading another CCLI chord chart in the correct key. If you want, email me alex AT worshipministrytraining.com and I can send you the prochord formatted charts for the songs that we have at our church. Otherwise, you'll have to type all yours up from scratch. Hope my answer is somewhat clear. Sincerely, alex

@@WorshipMinistryTraining Thanks, Alex. I appreciate your response and your willingness to help me out. The two pagers I can deal with, but it's the 3 pagers that are just too much. We just did a song called "Another In The Fire" that's 3 pages, and it's just hard to flip and follow the song when it's like that.
