How to Create a Collage Masterboard

I really liked the idea of decorating a blank sheet of deli paper with scraps of painted tissue paper, making a full sheet of happy from tiny bits.

My goodness, Kylie! What a plethora of material you have as potential material! Looks like my world, actually. My initial reaction is how differently you and Nina Ribena approach the collage business and how wonderfully both of your pieces turned out. I think the collaboration in the Mixed Media Emporium is going to really open up our eyes to different styles and methods of working and help all of us develop our own styles. I’m going back through some of these month’s older video’s. Little did we know what the future would hold for the entire world. Sitting here watching, listening and trying to do something. My husband landed in the hospital this past week. They’ve ruled out stroke and heart attack. So you’ve been a link to world that I can just drift away in. So many thanks and love to you and all artists sharing your work.

Really enjoyed watching you create these master boards. I would love to touch and feel the deli paper one. Bet it sounds yummy when you manipulate it, too. Guess I'll have to make my own to find out. This was a nice collaboration. I loved what Nina made, too. TFS. I did.

What a great idea with the transparent sheet! Definitely not ever thought to do that 😁.

Like your demo 💕. I Have been using deli paper in several ways for a while now. FYI : when adding your collage pieces to the deli for the first time turn the collage piece over so that the good side is face down. Add a few more layers like this, then go back to adding collage pieces "right side up". When finished, you should have both front and back side of deli sheet with nice color and shape. 😁🎨💕✨🇺🇸

Good morning, Kylie! I'm a brand new subscriber (from Florida, USA) to your channel and Nina's channel, as well. I am very new to junk journaling and absolutely LOVE mixed media. I have never heard of master boards but I am hoping to learn as much as I can and gather inspiration to actually give this a go. Love both of these but particularly the deli paper/tissue paper combo. It looks so intriguing with all the depth. I have some deli paper but have never thought to use for stamping off ink. I shall definitely be doing this from now on. Happy New Year and TFS 💕

Love your creativity!!😁 I'm in the US and wasn't sure what deli paper is, so I did what any self-respecting RU-vidr would do and I Googled it! Before searching, I thought it might be the same as waxed paper, but apparently not. I did find it on Amazon! And the description even makes reference to it being popular with mixed media artists. 🎨 I just keep learning new things...yesterday it was master boards and today it's deli paper. 😁

Thanks for sharing your techniques. I'm new to this and enjoy learning how to use what I have on hand in a creative way.

Both are amazing, but the idea of layering up the transparent papers is new to me. I love it! I've been using tiny scraps on full page labels to make sticker tape. I think I'll try it with the transparent papers and use double sided sticky tape. Thanks for the inspiration!
