For those whose icing edge looks squarish, switch the order of the 'Shell' and 'TurboSmooth' modifier at the modifier list on the top right! Great video btw just what I needed for my project!!

If you're like me and can't figure out why "scatter" is grayed out, it's because you need to collapse your editable poly without any loose modifiers before you can scatter it.

When I hold shift and move upwards, it does not make a copy it just drags my shape upwards ... any suggestions ?

How did you delete the sprinkles on the lower half of the icing without deleting the icing too?

Hey. Pressing shift and trying to rise up those polygons only extrude those selected icing polygons.

When i try to separate the icing from the donut the donut shape just changes.

Hi, thank you. I was wondering, how come on my Max, Scatter is greyed out? Together with Terrain and Loft. I have Sprinkle Object selected. Regards.

Unless you are using splines, the Terrain and Loft will be greyed out. I am not sure why the Scatter is greyed out though, make sure you have selected a 3d mesh. Also convert the mesh into Editable Poly and use Reset XForm option.

@@TopDownGear Thanks for reply. Doing a Google search, it says I should not have Modifiers or to Collapse the stack. Taking off the modifiers did not work, but collapsing the stack worked. I'm able to Scatter the sprinkle now. Strange that you didn't have to collapse your stack. Maybe they changed? I'm on 2021. Regards.

Indeed. After watching that tutorial long ago I really questioned how to achieve the same in 3ds max like with randomness and stuff, dig into particle systems and eventually gave up haha

My icing doesn't come thicker ☹️☹️ what's going on? P.S: if your sprinkle doesn't bend go back to its measurements and see if you have the same amount of "Sides" and "Height segs" that shows in the video.
