This is a project I did with my 7th grade Art Club students while meeting virtually during what I call the "COVID years." Using blank paper, pencils/erasers, assorted fine-point pens, and their student devices, the kids came up with an original source image and set of words to feature in their micrography drawings. Although this project is done in assorted colors, it could easily be done in a monochromatic color scheme. I had students independently practice creating a range of values with text and their preferred colors first, and used portions of a video created by Michelle East to get them going.
