I am very glad you did a plaid design video. It was very helpful for me when trying to design my own plaid for my own clothing brand. I have searched and searched for videos on how to do “Ombré” plaid design. Do have a video on that or know where I could find one to help me design Ombré plaid? Thanks again for helping with the videos you make! Take care.
Hi, Josh. Thanks for watching and commenting! I do not have a video on ombré plaid. Unless you plan to use an ombré or marled yarn to weave the plaid, an ombré plaid sounds like a print not a woven, like most plaids are, which is probably why you can't find a video. You'd probably have to apply an ombré effect on top of the plaid to get the effect you want, and then when you actually make the fabric, print your design on a woven fabric, not weave it.
Question about your other videos - this was a great tutorial - thank you! In the end you had a blouse flat sketch where you tweaked the plaid placement some - would love to learn the creation of the shirt as well - can you direct to me or add the video title for that tutorial? Thank you
Thank you for watching and commenting! I have a playlist with different videos about using Illustrator for Fashion design. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fvHAe27c9M0.html I would also suggest taking a beginner class that will show you step by step how to use Illustrator (so you can draw that woven shirt). The link (with a coupon) is in the description of the video!
@@383design Thank you for getting back to me. I will look at this info. I appreciate your time and looking forward to combing through your videos and courses.
You're probably selecting more than you need. Deselect and then try re-selecting. It could also be that somehow everything is grouped. That can happen after you use the Pathfinder so make sure the diagonal lines are ungrouped from the rest of the plaid. Also, make sure you're using a color that is NOT a color used in the plaid so that when you use the function Select Same>Fill Color, it doesn't pick up part of the plaid.
