I think that makes sense. Bodysnatch transfers user's soul to another body, which means mental stats (INT + MIND) remain while others (physical) stats depend on the host body.
You can actually make overpowered character without breaking the game balance by abusing the stats gain from retissue ogreblade. Just swap to another lvl 50 unit but with this step. Warrior/TK/dragoon>trans into lich>then bodysnatch. The new unit will have both warrior/tk/dragoon + lich skill which is notably meditate IV, HP, mighty impact, fear strike, lament, slayers, pincer, nature touch. Or going this route, Human dragoon/warrior/tk stilled>turn it to undead>trans into skeleton>trans into divine knight>body snatch. It will give meditate, & song related skill + those 3 base skills. *there is also juggernaut limited to lizard & orc* There is no need to abuse stats :)
@@WarrenReport there is also some case where trans class item not consumed when bodysnatching it will be good to save before using the item to save the time for getting those again.
@@SakuraiLouishana yea no need for abusing stats but that's highly subjective since when you beat even Tartaros, the ultimate goal left is to get 999 stats. It has always been like that for tactics ogre loyalists decades ago. LOL.. Also, the person who discovered that exploit (in japanese) of transforming zombie to skeleton and so on.., if you watch closely his vid, he already has 999 int and 900+ mnd. meaning they too have done it as well. And yea, i confirm, whilst the ogre blade will disappear upon body snatch, not so for the consumable items. So even if they are spent before snatching, you can recruit the unit you swapped with later and will still have the undead ring, book of the dead, etc. and will not be registered as used and won't disappear in your inventory. No need to farm for those again.
@@SakuraiLouishana but your suggestion itself is representative of an exploit and making things unbalanced too, skill-wise. that's just my point. it's all good tho. I personally think that the only people who can claim they played the game balanced are those who never used World Tarot and Chariot tarot manipulating outcome of drops and events. Grinded the game naturally.
Just some information. My 1st soul transfer get me INT, MIND 400 . The subsequent increases each by around 140 . Then 540 ,680 , 820 , 960 , then max 999 . So it that 6 times to max INT, MIND . The damage from AOE spell is 1600 ( kill everything except dragon ,golem , and monster) . I got all the ogre blade while farming the ogre set , in which ogre blade is much easier to come by .
The amount of experience is proportional to the amount of enemies you defeat in battle and also to how many characters you have in battle. The fewer enemies you defeat (preferably just the leader) and the more characters you have in your party, the less experience each one will gain
I would do this twice with each generic, 1st time level them as a Lich, 2nd time level them as a knight or warrior to make high hp character with big INT and MND and then change to Rune Fencer, I would do the switch as a terror knight instead of warrior to have access to Lament of Dead, if you started as a Patriarch Lizard and changed him to juggernaut it should be theoretically possible to create a rune fencer with with Lament of Dead or Intimidate skill which is very powerful end game to knock off phalanx skills and fear enemies all in one turn, as a Rune Fencer you will be able to take hits and cast powerful summon magic while destroying the enemy defenses. The ideal 2nd transfer target would be a lvl 8 hawkman from chapter one battle to get access to flying and level him as Vartan to 50 then change to Rune Fencer to destroy, equip Oracion sword to have access to Exorcism II and or Cursed sword in main hand or good shield in off hand.
Who said a Divine Angel can't be good lol (Divine). I hope this Bodysnatch exploit was all intended. Generic units deserved this much love (becoming mini-Lords).
Just tested. Mega Therion, my newborn Lich (or newdead?), have 793 magic attack with 328 INT and 274 MIND at level 21. My Level 50 Sherri have 762 Magical attack, 312 INT and 268 MIND. Magical chars are frail AF, but will be fun toy around with this new beast to farm more Ogre Blades. Once again, thank you for the idea!
Wow you have a LOT of characters. It's my first playthrough of the game. Should I be recruiting more people during battles or hiring people in shops?? I'm still in the first chapter.
Hello friend, welcome aboard! Many of the characters will be recruited during the main campaign, but you can recruit in the shop on an as-needed basis. The most important thing is your strategy in battle!
I did this on the original SNES and PlayStation versions and had a max 999 intelligence and Mentality on my Lich. Just kept killing off the old body to get my Ogre Blade back. Gotta say that the Ogre Blade in Reborn is massively disappointing, damn thing is ridiculously weak af. It’s only worth a shit if you have the full Ogre set and even then you can pretty much have better gear by the time you get the full set. On my first run through PoTD I already had maxed relic gear on all of my characters because I stayed in PoTD for 2 weeks at straight just farming floor’s grabbing multiples of weapons, armors, as well as accessories. By the time I did my 2nd run through PoTD and got the full ogre set I realized it was just plain useless other than the defenses that it provided but by that point my characters were so stacked that they hardly even took any damage. Denem at best takes no more than 1-9 dmg against the games strongest enemies and that’s without the Ogre set. I turned him into a Lord, changed his elemental affinity to Light, and then pumped a ridiculous amount of charms into another character that I used snapdragon on to turn it into a Light affinity weapon. I literally 1 shot everything especially since I use dual weapon’s. 7/10 times he doesn’t get to use his 2nd weapon because the first hit does it all. I chose to make a slashing for my first weapon and piercing for the 2nd. So for anyone trying to get the Ogre set, it’s a waste of time. Focus on relics to combine them and when you are ready to use a cursed weapons snapdragon ability then go for it just make sure the character that’s using it is seriously stacked so it doesn’t go to waste. I literally spent a week just farming charms in preparation to make 2 weapons. Note: I say focus on the relics because even my characters that don’t have cursed weapons are still better with their relic weapons than the ogre set. Relics can be made more powerful by infusing them with another weapon of the same kind/name. Don’t ever base weapons off of attack alone or a high elemental affinity thinking that you’ll do a shit ton of damage. First things first, attack strength of the weapon, then 2nd is the type (slashing, piercing, crushing damage) the number next to the type DOES matter a lot because it will help determine just how good the weapon is in terms of overall attack power. Weapon elemental affinity # is just how attuned it is to its element meaning how affective it is elemental wise. Example: I have a weapon with ice elemental of 22, that 22 is telling me that it’s very effective against wind elemental attuned enemies. Also it helps enhance your ice abilities as well. Your weapons element however does not provide overall attack strength just because it’s # is high or maxed, it just means how affective it is against the opposing element as I stated before. Same goes for the 3rd box which would be racial box affinity. The higher the # the more damage you’ll do to the racial type that’s noted in that box. Umbra, Reptiles, Beast, Dragon’s, Undead, Familiar, Divine are all examples of the different races that Tactics Ogre Reborn has in the game. Now that you have this knowledge, use it to your advantage to create weapons and gear that best suites your play style. Btw, if anyone is struggling with PoTD and farming drops, I highly recommend going all spell caster classes with 1-2 strong tanky characters at the front line to deal with any hard hitting melee enemies as well as beasts/dragons and keep 1-2 healers handy unless you have enough healing items on everyone. Always keep at least 1 Fruit of the Adept on your casters unless you’ve already got yourself some great MP boosting wands like the elemental wands for example. Hammer away from a distance and if you have summons, those will be your best friends in PoTD vs the many and I do mean many heavier units you’ll be fighting (golem’s, beast’s, and dragon’s) so this makes things much easier. That’s all and good luck to all.
@@WarrenReport Most people don’t know, neither did I since I never played the PSP version because growing up I honestly thought it was trash compared to the original. Guess I’ve played now though since I’ve been playing Reborn and it’s similar to OSP from my understanding.
@@edenknight777entertainment5 Its reborn thing. Dont know its bug or intended. PSP work differently since its transfer int/mind base stats into new unit. OV mod make the bodysnatch into dagger so high base int ghost can snatch into lizard to make decent pa/matriach. The skill transfer thing was in psp but its only usable by class that can use them. But in reborn the inherited skill will be usable by any class of that new body. PS: try One vision mod for psp. Its very good mod.
@@SakuraiLouishana ah okay well I never played PSP TO only the original on SNES and original PlayStation. You could do the same on those that you do on Reborn.
Question: how many times can you bodysnatch and keep all of the skills? Could I go from TK to Warrior, then Berserker, then Dragoon, then use Ring of the Dead, then bodysnatch again to like IDK one of the Lizardman classes and keep ALL of the skills I've accumulated, assuming I have enough Ogre Blades? Or do you lose some skills every time? Is it possible to end up with all the skills from the classes I mentioned?
Okay, so if I got it straight, Snapdragon is not a thing anymore? The ogre blade takes its place, or another cursed weapon? Years ago on the ps1, I had created two custom units for the sole purpose of maxing out, then snapdragging. Then I had a maxed out denim, ninja style, dual snap'd swords, solo the rest of the game.. doesn't sound like I can get away with that stunt this time.. am I correct?
You can max characters through this technique and then sacrifice them to create a cursed weapon. However this method can only maximize INT and MND, so on a cursed weapon this will only affect the Elemental affinity modifier and the bonus stats on each stat.
@@robd6837 Non-generic characters that are used to craft a cursed weapon will be shown as dead in the Warren Report. To lower the RT of the created weapon you must remove all the character's equipment, leaving only the cursed weapon that will be used. You can equip the Firecrest, if you do that the created weapon will have -5RT
Hey, it's possible to stack this trick on the same character and keep accumulating stats up to the game cap? What happens if you bodysnatch them again?
I believe it is possible! You will only need to drop another Ogre Blade in the Blackmoor fight. The stats that remain are INT and MND, so it's great for making characters that use magic.
@@WarrenReport oh damn I forgot you lose the blade in the process lol. Still that's a nice cool trick, as last thing to do before completely breaking the game. Thanks for sharing!
Yes it's possible, I'm doing it for the third time now. One thing i was disappointed about is the fire crest, you can only have one copy of it. and in order to gain another ogre blade you have to world back to chapter 4 do palace of the dead from the begining to floor 100, fight necromancer nybeth and do the palace again after. You can use the palace guide to skip to floor 75 when you going the second time for blackmore.
@@selviomilan2397 If you go back to the beginning of CODA 2 and go directly to floor 100, don't you face Blackmoor directly? If I'm not mistaken there is no need to face Nybeth in chapter 4 again
you can farm ogre sword again upon using it on POTD. The sword tho disappears when body swap is used. The unit you interchanged body with no longer has the sword thus, recruiting them again won't let you have the sword again. This trick has been used for a long time now, and one of the reason why people keep farming Ogre blades. There are hardcore forums about this if you guys want to go deeper since lots of gameplay has been NERFed since the PSP version. (scavenging skills. etc.) There's also a good content creator as well who introduced this earlier on YT, name "NCTgaming" that guy has lots of secret stuffs regarding OP builds and tricks.
No, you can use the effect in any battle, I just recommend using it in the earliest possible battle because that's where the enemies have the lowest level, so your character will have more levels available to grow stats during evolution. It doesn't work on unique characters, only generic ones.
The best way is on floor 53 of POTD, a Death Eater that sits at 5.6 or 9.6. It's a pretty rare drop, so you'll probably need a few tries to drop. I have a video here on the channel teaching you how to farm efficiently, take a look there, it can help you
Can you grab boss targets with the body swap??? If so, it is better to grab the sorc Moldailini very early instead. Sorcs have insane growth rates and get access to every skill and spell.
@@WarrenReport thats a shame, i would have loved to snatch Apollinaire from coritane map, she talked alot of shit about the protagnoist, would have been funny to force her body to do our bidding.

Some people have a LOT of difficulty playing games like this, so any tool that can help that person is valid. The most important thing is fun. Also, seeing all the work that goes into pulling off this trick, it's worth having a pretty strong character for anyone who's up for it.
@@WarrenReport i feel like you contradicted yourself there. if somebody is having a lot of difficulty with anything in this game, having them go through a tedius process to level a character to 50, getting an ogreblade and ogreblading them, and level them back up to 50 again kinda proves they arnt having much difficulty
First off: Rashidi is a great name choice, obvs. But a couple questions. Where do you get the Ogre Blade? Is it used up when you do this so you have to get another? Also it looks like it only carries over the INT and MND stat, so wouldn't the other stats stay the same?
You drop the Ogre Blade in the battle against Blackmoor. I have a video about it here on the channel. After the body swap you can kill your old body and see if he drops the sword again, or better yet, you can use the skill to recruit him to your party, recovering the sword. Or you can always go back to the fight with Blackmoor to drop another sword. This tip carries the old character's INT and MND, so it's perfect for creating characters that will use spells, like the lich I made there.

In the past, using this process caused you to lose the Ogre Blade, and you had to farm again to get it. But from what I've learned now with the new updates, when you use it this way, it returns to your inventory.
Is this really max stats or just stronger than normal? I want a character with max stats in everything strg, vit, dex etc, will charms be the only way to achieve that?
