@@Mariilash congrats on taking the leap! 🥳 & ofc, you’re so welcome! If u ever have specific questions I’m happy to answer them. ❤️ I’m working on an Etsy SEO video now that I think will be a game changer for lots of new digital product sellers.
Thank you for this! I've watched several other tutorials on this and you are the only one who explains the collaboration link! I've been so confused. Youve made a great clear tutorial. Thank you!
I absolutely love your videos. It actually kick started me and now I’m trying to follow your guides here. I will get back to you in a month or two to let you know if I succeeded 💪🏻❤️🍀
Hello! Thank you so much for showing me this video. You're a lifesaver. I have a question though I have created a template using Canva and made my first listing on Etsy but, I am having trouble with using Templett. Would I have to recreate my template on Canva to Templett in order for the customer to use the demo version before purchasing?
Hi Tatyana>> thanks for all the helpful information ... I was wondering if there is a way to control what elements of the templates we sell and share is editable.. I mean, if we can control that the only edit the name or some elements but not the whole thing... thanks in advance
Hi, Tatyana, your tutorials are very helpful! I’m brand new to this…what happens if something goes wrong with the customer’s download? Does that mean that the whole design needs to remade? What are the common problems in digital downloads and how do we avoid them or fix them? Could you do a video on this? Thanks
@@karenb9517 hi Karen! Thanks for your question. Things dont often go wrong with downloads, but when they do I just email my customers their templates directly. I always share a template made from a copy of my original design to prevent losing my hard work in the case that my design is somehow permanently altered by the customer. I’d be happy to make a video going into detail about how to avoid common problems ❤️❤️
Thanks for the videos, how am i going to fulfil the order after payment. Am i going to upload the (thanks you card that contained the download link ) with the listing photos, or in the check -out after payments, to make it automated.
Thank you for these videos!! Can't find an answer for this on google - if you use canva pro to make a template, does the customer need canva pro to use it? Keep up the great work!
@@Arkcov3 you’re welcome! ❤️ If you use Canva pro to make a template, technically the customer doesn’t need Canva pro to access the template BUT they will need Canva pro to actually save their final design to their device. To bypass this issue, I state this clearly in my download instructions and I also include a link to a free Canva Pro subscription with all of my digital products. I hope that answers your question!
Thanks for clarifying between the collaboration link and template link. I had the same issue with customers getting the version the previous customer received and edited. But now that I’m just using the template link my customers have to request access to the template. How do I avoid this?
Hi, loving your videos! Question for you. I notice that in this video you don’t “lock” any of the design elements in your shared template, doing so would make them static and uneditable. You could easily just leave the text as editable elements. My concern is that if I leave the entire template as it is, it makes it too easy for another seller to use my design for their store. What are your thoughts on protecting your work via element locking?
@@RoseannLowe-n6c hi! Thank you! ❤️That’s a great point! I advertise my templates as “100% customizable” which is why I don’t lock any of my elements. Selling digital products always comes with the risk of other sellers buying and reselling your designs as their own, unfortunately. So far I haven’t had an issue with this because I stand out as a seller by providing great customer service, using good SEO practices, and having eye catching listing covers that make my shop stand out from competitors in my niche. It’s really up to you whether or not you want to lock parts of your design, I just personally choose not to.
What if I add pro elements to my template? How will I ensure that my clients don’t need to subscribe in order to edit my design and remove watermarks? Thank you already :)
Thank you for your videos! 😊 If I have used Canva Pro Items in my template and provide the template to my customers using the template link. Can they download the fully edited version without having to pay for the Pro Items again? Or should I only use free items in my template?
You’re welcome! I use Pro features in my templates and I indicate this in my product description for full transparency. I also include download instructions with my files, and I include a link to a free Canva Pro subscription.
Does it matter if you're using premium Canva fonts and graphics, and the customer does not? Will they get watermarks on their design if they don't have Premium?
@@dilavera the products that I sell are all meant to be sent and received digitally, so I’m not 100% sure about how that would translate over in this print example. I would think that as the seller, you should set the DPI and dimensions to be print-friendly if you’re selling prints of any kind.
this is so helpful i love it !! i’m able to add my link to my template but now when i try to put it into etsy it keep saying the file name can’t have any numbers or signs in it and won’t let me add it to file even tho there’s nothing like that in the name! do you know what i should do?
@@rashydahxoxo I would first copy and paste the template link onto a word document, then save that document as a PDF titled “access template here” (without the quotation marks), then upload that PDF to Etsy. This is the easiest way to accomplish uploading a template link in my experience. Hope that helps!! ❤️
@@TatyanaSavagethank you so much!! i think my phone just didn’t know how to process it right bc i was able to do it with my laptop no problem! i really love your content 💖
@@Shopgirl2000 I do what most other sellers do, and I disclose in my item description that in order to download the finished template, customers will need to have access to Canva Pro. I also include a link to a free trial of Canva Pro in all of my downloads.
@@TatyanaSavage Ah - I have never heard anyone doing that. Interesting! Have you had any customers complain about this - stating that they didnt realise they need to have Canva Pro?? Or do they read properly and not complain?
@@Shopgirl2000 nope, I’ve never had anyone complain about it! Canva is the most popular platform to create templates by far, so I think it’s a pretty standard experience for customers.
I need help. the template link is only taking me to the original copy, not an actual template for people to use. how do i fix this. yes i copied the template link and not the colab link.
@@breannbeard6560 how do u know the template link is taking you to the original copy? Like what message are u seeing? Also, try making a copy of your design first that way u have two identical versions, and then make a template link for the second copy. Then edit the template design of the second copy using the template link and go back to see if those changes were applied to your own second copy of your project.
@@TatyanaSavage i downloaded it to my files. Then i click the file to see what the person buying will see. Then i click the link to see if it worked and it took me to my original version of what im selling. At the bottom its supposed to say “use template” in blue but it says “edit template”
You are wrong, I am sorry but I followed your advice and my customer could not open the link! The right one is as long as it's a template link , your customer should be able to edit without affecting the original file. And the collaboration should set to anyone with the link.
Hey! There must’ve been a mix up, because this video is showing how to create and share a template link which is definitely the correct way to share a Canva template with customers. 😅
@@kaneceskreations when you click “edit template” does it make alterations to your original template or just to the next template? Also, make sure you’re clicking “template,” and not “brand template” when you choose to share.
@@kaneceskreations but then when you click the template link and you make edits, those edits are reflected on your original template? Like if you change the color to orange and then go to your template on Canva, the template is now orange?
@@kaneceskreations oof. 😣 Okay, that’s strange. Without looking at your screen, it’s hard to help.
