Really helpful tutorial, Thanks. However I do have a question regarding the timing of the dialogue that I hope you can help with. When I've had to add some text into the transcript it sometimes takes it out of sync with the audio track. Is there a way I can manually move the timing of the some of the subtitle/transcript? Thanks Matt, hope you can help.🤔
Would there be a specific reason why mine does not show the "transcribe sequence" button inside the captions thing when you first open it up? Trying to figure this out for a project I am trying to finish up for social.
Love your vids. Question though. I need to export English and Spanish captions and want to embed them into my final video. I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I've already imported my .scc files and I can toggle between English and Spanish, but when I export, only the "visible" track gets embedded. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you so much for this video, Matt! You might have explained it by mentioning it in the "Burning in" section, but if we change the fonts and save the SRT will the font be changed in RU-vid when we've uploaded it? Or will there be a default RU-vid style?
After spending months finishing my first feature and spending countless hours in Premiere Pro editing it felt like a gut punch when I realised a few sites and festivals out there want captions via srt files. Not knowing anything about the process, I was lucky to stumble across this video. I'm still in the thick of it and I have music files and audio already on the same track so I am unsure how transcribing will go and what other issues I will need to contend with but am grateful that this short and concise video gave me a great head start on mastering captions. cheers
I thought I saved it last night when I transcribed my audio, but when I opened the Premiere file tonight, the transcription was gone. Is it hidden somewhere or did I just think I saved it before I went to bed?
Cant believe this. I’ve been typing these in by hand for the last year. This is going to save me so much time I didn’t even know this existed. So glad I came across this video. Thankyou Matt so much !!
Such a valuuable video! Thank you! Do you know if its possible to save captions as a preset in prem pro? ie - on screen size, coulour, positioning, stroke etc
My captions panel does not bring up any transcribing menu options. I've been using PP for 10 years and this is the first issue I've had with Captioning. Sitting here spinning my wheels. Frustrating.
How's it going with the software? I bought it a wNice tutorialle back and life got in the way. I am finally going to get around to learning tNice tutorials up (I
Hi, when u use auto cc The timing of the subtitles are too long. Text stays on the screen until it picks up another dialogue Any settings to fix this? Thanks
You are awsome, thanks. Do search engines use Transcript or Captions, and if captions, does it matter whether they are burned in or side file to be used by search engines?
I just wanna give you a huge thanks for you cause tNice tutorials is the most helpful video I've had in a wNice tutorialle and it really helped so keep up the
I did all of tNice tutorials for years in Protools but watcNice tutorialng tNice tutorials for soft soft I feel like a stroke victim in a hospital bed learning to speak
I usually don't comment but I just want to say thank you for creating this video. As someone who has to put several captions on videos for my job this makes things much simpler and easier. Thanks again!
Just recently improved my audio setup so accurate transcriptions were possible - and couldn't figure out how to export the SRT. Thanks for the easy-to-follow video, saved me a bunch of frustration.
Excellent video - thanks for sharing. This is going to massively help. I wonder how the accuracy compares to RU-vid’s auto captions? I seem to spend a lot of time editing captions so if this speeds things up it would be great.
I'm having problems at the moment with editing my captions. When I click on the text button and click on the captions with it on the video nothing happens. A blue box just highlights around the video. Has anyone experienced this? If so could anyone help me.
Yo Matt, thanks a lot for the Tutorial :) I still had major troubles because my srt. file just did not get exported - after hours of trial and error and googling I found the solution - deleting empty text blocks in the captions. - how random, right? maybe like this comment so others can see this useful Info
This was so incredibly helpful, thanks Matt! When I was working as an videographer as an employee, auto transcribe was not a feature in Premiere Pro and the captions workflow was much different to how it is now. I've somehow made it nearly a year into being a self-employed videographer without needing to create captions/ subtitles (no idea how!) but your tutorial explaining the new workflow was great and much faster than using the online transcribe tools I used to use - so thank you once again for another great video!
Hi Matt, thanks you for this. Can I ask where do the files go once exported. Sorry to ask but I've been trying to locate them and figure this out for 2 days.
Yo, thank you so much! I didn't even know this was a new feature and I was trying to bumble around with all the different captioning options! You made this incredibly easy and I am so pumped right now! I'm off to go caption a bunch more videos now!!!
There is actually a work around with Premiere Pro 15: Export as a jpg, then uncheck the box in the video settings „as a sequence“ and add sidecard. Then you will geht just one jpg and the sidecard. Way quicker than exporting a whole video as a mp4.
Super helpful video! Exactly what I was looking for, and you got yourself a new subscriber. And yes, I definitely always go back and read what was transcribed because I do a lot of scientific/veterinary videos, and the AI just doesn't know what to do with things like medication names. It can be very amusing. :)
Matt! Totally unrelated, but I hope you give your opinion still: would you recommend an FX6 for weddings? I have an A7SIII and FX3, and would like to add a third camera. I would use the FX6 (hopefully) for other projects, but the lack of ibis worries me. Thanks buddy!
