I'm a little surprised to see how hot you guys recorded. Judging from what I can see in the waveform and meters, you left yourselves little to no headroom at the converter on those hard hits.

hi there, question: i recorded several drums samples with 5 diferents mics - room mic, two overheads, batter heads and reso head. Even for cymbals. Would that make for a Stereo export or Mono would be enough.

How come the fade doesn't get exported? That doesn't make sense... By this logic, all fades in a project wont get exported? If you consolidated it you wouldnt need to export it and would find it in the Audio Folder ... what am i missing here? :|

+matNrockNroll If this works the same way that Logic does, the fade is there if you bounce the whole track to disk, but not included if you just bounce a region, because if the fade was bounced during a region bounce that would be destructive.

+markowalski It looks like it's a Presonus FaderPort, which is a USB controller, assignable to the DAW's various functions and tracks, and gives the user a more tactile contact for doing things like automated fades, along with other assignable DAW functions as well. www.presonus.com/products/FaderPort

I think it may sound awesome but it is to much work for me! If you cant make Acoustic drums sound real, punchy, and have the grove aka Feeling.. then you need to quit! it is ok to use real drum samples on a electronic song.. but why would you need samples on top of the original sample? why not just EQ, and Use real tube compressors like the LA-76 and LA-4

Its difficult to get the mics in phase sometimes.

I do this in case there is a failure or mistake I can't fix with other takes. I once had a mic go out and cause I had samples the label and band never had to know.
