I have a quick question: - I have watched your other video on setting up costum audiences but you said to include all this costume audiences in ONE AD SET ONLY rather then a costum audience per one ad set. - However here in this video you are mentionning to create a different adset for each lookalike audience. Could you please clarify on this? And either I need to put costum audience + lookalike audienxe in the same ad set?

When I am creating lookalike audiences it doesn't give me the option to add my location. Is that because of the integration with my shopify store?

Hi Ben. Thanks again for such great video. Could you talk a bit more about why customer list data lost efficiency after iOS 14.5? I get the pixel dynamic, for meta simply can't track people anymore. But, for instance, all my customers leave their full name, city, email and Whatsapp number. I upload all this info on my customer list. I can't get though how iOS 14.5can damage that. What is the thought process on 1% Lookalike for United States, but then you are using that LAA in a targeted area of a city with a 50 mile radius? So if that "City +50mi" has 500,000 people, is your audience now 5,000 people? Or is it that initial 2.7 million, and the 1% doesn't translate over directly mathematically. Maybe for example, of the 2.7 million, 380,000 of the 500,000 live in your "City +50" area.

If you're building alist as you go through the video ... if you are creating a regional ad, select a higher percent when uploading the list when selecting your country.

Oh one more thing Ben, does it matter if i put the locations IN the lookalike set up? or do i add the locations in the Ad set? Does it make a difference? because i selected all countries IN the lookalike setup at 1% (over 250k)

hi Ben im from Indonesia, im usually using instagram ads from instagram app (boost post button) i have been having good result with instagram automatic audience, but 1 week ago it dont work anymore the target change to USA, instead of my country Indonesia instagram automatic audience are u sing looklike i can replicate it using ads manager but i dont like using ads manager because u cant get link directly to instagram in your show now button, sure i can link it but it will open browser windows... are there anyway to make instagram auto audience work again? and target my country Indonesia using lookalike i tried reporting to instagram about this bug but no result

I don't see a section the customer list that says "Facebook User ID" or "Instagram User ID" I only see "Facebook App User ID." Can I put someone's Facebook ID in the "Facebook App User ID" section...Or will that screw up the process of finding the right person?

Hi Ben, on one of your Custom Audience videos, you suggested putting ALL your custom audience lists in as suggestions on the Advantage+ section as the Meta machine will know what to do and target the most relevant first. In general, what point would you or wouldn't you toggle Facebooks Advantage+ audience

Slight disagreement on the gender selection, if as your example you want to target women’s shoes, create a custom audience of people who have bought women’s shoes and use that to build your lookalike audience. They you don’t use gender as a filter later as it’s already takes care of. When it comes to shopping, product gender always trumps customer gender. This is not just for trans people but for shared accounts, or people shopping for gifts etc.

Do you think Broad audience targeting (50m-100m) with a small relatively budget (100-200 usd/ day) results in a lower conversion rate, at least in the early phase? I’m running a campaign for a product with broad appeal, using broad targeting but I notice the conversion rate is lower than the campaign with interest targeting (1% vs 1.5-2% target interest). Maybe the audience is too broad (thus cold audience) compared to the small budget

Hi Ben, My source of audience didn't change for around 30 days... I got about 320 orders in the past 30 days, most of them are new customers, but my Unique Customers are only 60 and have been not updated for 30 days. I checked my event manager it seems the data source works well, it received 280+ purchases, but when I try to create a Lookalike audience, it has only 60 unique customers on my pixel. I cannot even create a Lookalike audience since I only have 60 unique customers. I'm trying to create a lookalike audience from the Instagram source audience (audience size is 5000) but I'm getting this error: Param origin_audience_id must be a valid custom audience id (#100) when trying to create it. I've used the source audience in previous campaigns successfully so not sure why this is giving me an error. I'm actually getting the same error on all custom audiences. Any ideas why? I tried to create an audience from my Facebook video views, but it showed that I didn't have any views. I schedule videos with Creator Studio on the Instagram tab and then click the box to share on my Facebook page that's connected to my Instagram page. That way, I only have to upload the video once and it posts on both platforms. So I was able to create an audience from my Instagram video viewers, but not my Facebook video viewers. I would assume these are 2 separate groups of people, so I'm not sure how to find my Facebook video viewers in Ads Manager. Any ideas? Do I have to upload the video twice in Creator Studio (once for Instagram and once for Facebook) in order to see the views for each platform's videos in Ad Manager?
