Equipment and materials
Paint
Acrylic paint by Pebeo: Fluorescent Yellow, Dark Cadmium Red
Acrylic Paint by Abstract: Cadmium Yellow Lemon Hue, Primary Yellow
Acrylic Paint by Daler Rowney: Titanium White
Watercolour Paint by Paul Rubens of LightWish - High intensity pigment pallet
Brushes
Assorted, flat, round and very fine. I use a variety of different makes but they are all very soft. I also use brushes for nail painting as they are very fine.

Paper
For watercolour you need a strong paper (300gsm) or you can use wallpaper lining paper which works really well
I also use a water spray and various mark making tools

If dandelions were hard to grow we would all want them in our gardens. Love these art lessons, I have been inspired to try painting big

I live in Canada. In April we have a wonderful brief period every year where the leaves and grass start coming back and everything very suddenly goes from brown to bright green. We're now fully into dandelion season. I love them too! That yellow is one of my favourite colours. We'll get buttercups a bit later.

Good morning Cate, thank you for your teaching today. I am doing my daily challenge while listening and watching you. I really appreciate your watercolor wisdom as I enjoy watercolor, however I have found it very challenging. I have not been able to get into our wild flower garden as my walking with my walker is 😊difficult on our lawn to the. Path my daughter has made through our small sparsely wooded area. We call it “Ditzy Woods”. We have, various Ferns, Jacob’s Ladder, Lung Wart, Lilly of the Valley. We have filtered sunlight in the garden. I hang a piece of my art in the garden done on outdoor wood painted in acrylic and sprayed with a protective product. Take care😻

Hello Janet, thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I love the mood of filtered sunlight, and you’ve captured the mood perfectly. Watercolour can be challenging indeed, but it’s such a lovely medium and well worth the effort. With love… 🥰

I made the larger sketchbook at the beginning of the tutorial, but the hard back sketchbook I bought from Daler Rowney 😊
