How can you apply this to a character or somewhere? How will you movie it and make it look natural in practical? Now, you can’t and it won’t work anyway. So I guess this is completely useless.
Have you tried before whining about someone else's attempt. This had zero impact on your life. And, it would work it just requires you to plan ahead. I.e. yes it would be hard to move the fur's direction after the fact, so you'd have to work with different fur balls or fur shapes, rotating them to make sure the fur is going in the direction you want, then youd join them so they keep their shape but are then one single piece. You could also plan ahead by keeping the fur pieces unjoined but hidden, then copy them and join those visible copies so you have backups to work with to correct mistakes. How I know? I do that for realistic hair by having every hair folecule joint to make hair but have spairs hidden in case I need to fix it. If you have a better idea pitch it. But don't tear other people down for no reason. Especially when the person actually showcased a really brilliant idea
