You did a wonderful demonstration but how can we possibly make a total assesment without the finished product being popped into (yours?)a models mouth and shown, thats rhe real proof of the pudding!
@@SandyDiVaI don't know about this product. But I have a single tooth that I had to make outta thermo plastic (aka polymorph beads) and it held up fine with hot drinks as long as I was just sipping stuff. Food I'm not sure about because the tooth I had to make as an individual friction fit (where the teeth on either side hold it in place, unlike regular partials with gum covers or things that could clip on and damage the teeth i got left. It is not the greatest option, but sure made a world of difference for a lot of folks who don't have the funds or strong enough teeth to clip standard partials too. Not sure if any of that info helps, but just wanted to offer some insight on how some other methods held up son far 🙂
The best tutorial I have ever seen thanks so much . This is what it takes years in college to teach people . This is a new window of opportunity for me to take to Africa and turn into business .I have already been working on this with another diy . This make me more advanced. Thanks so much , am going to check your website
It's important not to diminish the work that dentists and prosthodontists do, this product is only for people who lack access to professional dentures. We've put hundreds of hours into materials research, but it's not a replacement for professional work.
Same boat as you. My advice is to order some Instant Smile Comfort Flex veneers. Some thermoplastic beads and use them. For temporary denture. That will cost you $40. Not ideal but better than nothing.
Glad we can help, but please still seek professional dental services as soon as they are available to you. Our product can't be considered a replacement to seeing a dental professional.
I used veneers that I bought off Amazon for $40. Before when I still had most of my teeth. You have to realize few things with affordable replacement teeth. They are not very durable if the material melts when placed in warm water. These will get soft and become loose when eating food that is hot. The bite definitely will not be aligned correctly. When you get dentures from dentist. They have you bite on something called bite wing. Which makes so your dentures on the top and bottom. Are lined up correctly when you eat. If the bite is off. Your jaws will have increase in pressure on them. Making your bone loss happen a lot quicker. Then if you had dentures from dentist. By the way the teeth I am wearing are not mine. They are the veneers I bought off Amazon. For $40 and because the tooth I was covering up. Was already infected the bacteria from the infection and saliva. To become trapped between the veneer and my real teeth. It resulted in the infection spreading very quickly. This is according to the dental clinic. I went to it spread to the bone in my jaw. Teeth along with pieces of infected bone were removed with them. Given the consequences I now have. I wouldn't try this myself again. Dentures made by dentist have coating on them. So bacteria doesn't cause infection. As long as you are comfortable with the risk. I see nothing wrong with giving it shot.
Hi Goh, so sorry to hear that! Remember, our product is not a replacement for professional dental work, but it's a solution for those who truly lack access but want to regain their smile.
@@mariem7250 Hi Marie, we have several sizes and shades of teeth available. Most folks find that the "regular" size teeth fit, but we also have a size large. Thanks for your question!
@@BauchNessMonster They can fit very well (a good impression is an important factor in this), and you can see our current sale prices at www.denturi.com/shop
OMG what I would do to be able to get this i haven't had teeth since 2015. I wasn't able to even smile for my wedding pictures😢 unfortunately right now I can't afford it as me my disabled son and husband are homeless living in a hotel room which takes everything we got. But I totally saved this video and the website hopefully we can save up for this. Im actually in tears wishing I knew about this yrs ago! Thank you so much for sharing this you gave me hope again!
Yes, in moderation. The material softens when exposed to very-hot temperatures for more than a couple seconds. We advise not consuming piping-hot beverages or foods while wearing the DIY Denture. www.denturi.com
Hi Cris, you should remove any existing dental appliance before taking the impressions. The kit is traditionally used in place of old (non-fitting) or broken dentures.
Hi Mary, the model performing the impression in the video has all her teeth, but that was meant to be an example of the proper form and process of taking the impression. For customers with no teeth, they'll be imprinting the putty directly to their gum ridge. For customers with some teeth, they'll press down hard enough to capture both the teeth and the gum ridge (in spots of missing teeth). www.denturi.com
Hi Marie, we offer two sizes and two shades of teeth, and back everything with a free replacement guarantee. Most customers fit the "regular" size, so when in doubt, we recommend starting with that. There is a lot of wiggle room with the kit, and the teeth themselves can be sanded on each size to get a perfect fit.
Yes, that's what we would call a partial denture, and you can make either a full or partial denture with this same kit. The teeth are on a stabilizing wire which can be cut if you only want certain teeth. Everything to make a partial or full denture is included in the DIY Denture kit. www.denturi.com
The Denturi DIY Denture kit contains everything needed to make full or partial dentures. We include a full array of teeth, but you are able to easily customize the teeth to your specific needs, full or partial.
Hi Carol - Our kit is made for folks who have lost all or some of their teeth. For customers with no teeth, they'll be imprinting the putty directly to their gum ridge. Yes, this kit works with some or no teeth at all. The model in the video has teeth, but this is just to demonstrate the process of taking the impression.

I would beg to differ on one comment she made. "No speech Impediment". I have full dentures. When not wearing them (especially the upper) my speech is definitely different, if not "impaired". But I also heard in her speech with the denture in place a different speech sound - as if the tounge was too close to the denture. I experienced that same effect when my dentures were new but over.a short time, my mouth/tounge adjusted and my voice became "normal"
I am wondering about the durability of this product. I read wording such as "Novelty" and "for the Crafter" and "for those who truly lack access but want to regain their smile." which make these sound like nothing more than stage props. Can one eat using these? I'm not taking about crushing bones or chewing "Jaw Breakers", just ordinary food. I had full dentures made a 15-20 years ago. The upper has served me well all these years. But the bottom never fit. or more accurately, the dentist would grind a bit off, I'd go home with a good fit. Then a few days later, it started hurting again. I repeated that cycle at least a half dozen times then gave up. So I've gone without the lower denture for more than a decade. I can't eat apples or corn on the cob, but I get by. It's just that I am on a fixed income now and can't afford the thousands of dollars dentists will charge for a denture that I will only need to last another decade or so.
And I especially appreciate that this video poster has responded to many of the comments here. I am looking forward to their response to my posting as well.
Sets hard so you can eat. But they said don't drink real hot beverages too quickly cuz that much prolonged heat will soften them a little. They are not wax.
Hi Speak Life, we haven't been avoiding any questions intentionally. Our official answer for this is we know that many customers use these to eat, but officially we don't endorse them for eating because we aren't a professional dental practice and we don't want to imply that the DIY Denture is a certified medical or dental device. If a customer does decide to use these for eating, which many have told us they have, the customer must avoid foods and beverages above 120 degrees because the proprietary pink gum material is sensitive to high temperatures (this is what allows the customer to craft it at home).
I purchased the kit. After I made my impression and mold, I went to go start the next step which was adding the gum material to the mold however I kinda of got stuck and came across a question. I still have the two front bottom teeth intact. Does anyone have any suggestions on what my next step should be? Should I just attempt to cover them with the gum material and continue with the process? Or I could attempt a partial around them? Do you see my dilemma 🤦♀️. I appreciate any help given in advance! Thank you! ☺️
I wish I could see someone with no teeth do it and see how they come out. I've been battling my dentist for 2 years for dentures that fir and look right. But it's his way or no way. My insurance already paid him so I cant go else where. He literally won't let me pick shape, size, color NOTHING. Im defeated and over it. I'm now looking to try to make some on my own. I had to have my teeth pulled at 32 years old (almost 33) and I've been battling him for 2 years. Im just over it. And still no usable teeth. If anyone knows a video of someone trying this please point me in their direction so I can watch it. Have a blessed day.
Hi Kayla! Check out out salty.stella she demo's our kit on her tiktok channel, and she shows the final result in her mouth: www.tiktok.com/@salty.stella/video/7050169910328347951
I do want/need to know can you eat with these? I want to be able to smile again for the first time since 2015 BUT also want to be able to actually eat REAL food. As I commented my husband and disabled son and I are homeless so right now we can't afford it BUT if I can save up for this I want to make sure they are strong enough to eat stuff like apples or even fried foods. Not expected to be able to eat a jaw breaker OR anything like that, thank you for your time!
Even if you got dentures from dentist you can't bite into apple. They are not like having your own teeth. But fried food as long as it is not too hot shouldn't be problem. I eat chicken nuggets and fish sticks. Now I don't have any teeth at all. Those teeth I am wearing in my picture. Are not my teeth. When I still had some teeth. I paid $40 for snap on veneer. Eventually I will be able to get my dentures. It may take few years but eventually things will be just fine. I am so sorry that your family is homeless on top of your teeth trouble. Just be careful when you get your dentures take small bites and eat slowly. When I eat now I get embarrassed because you can tell I don't have any teeth.
In reply to a few postings here, DIYDentures made reference to a customer (SaltyStella) who had posted a TicTok video of her experience with this product. (she loves it by the way). But I would beg to differ on one comment she made. "No speech Impediment". I have full dentures. When not wearing them (especially the upper) my speech is definitely different, if not "impaired". But I also heard in her speech with the denture in place a different speech quality - as if the tounge was too close to the denture. I experienced that same effect when my dentures were new but over.a short time, my mouth/tounge adjusted and my voice became "normal".
Is there a way to let the canine (the 2 pointy teeth) teeth come thru? Thats all she has on top is 1 on each side ? Anyone ? Bueller ? Bueller ? BUELLER? Ok i thought it was funny 😆🤣 Can diy dentures be soaked overnight? Nobody i know can answer this . . . Please & thank u 🙂
Hi! You can adjust and shape the canines if you want to, using the included tools. You can soak them overnight but always use a denture cleaning solution. We include some denture cleaning tablets to get you started, but it's very important to get some more. Scrub, soak, scrub. The tablets recommend soaking for at least 15 minutes but we've tested soaking for 8+ hours and there is no negative effect to the gum material.
Can you lightly coat the mold with olive oil for easier extraction? I would want to swish my teeth with olive oil as well to make removing it a bit easier.(???)
Sorry Bonnie, i'll take this advice into consideration when I make the next video. If it helps, you can press the "gear" at the bottom of the video, choose "playback speed" and set it to 0.5 This makes the video play at half-speed.
Hi, as of a few months ago we have extra-small trays available. If you're an existing customer we would be happy to send you some extra-small trays for free as part of our size and shade guarantee.
