How to create login and signup in MIT app inventor using firebase
Click on Projects → Start New Project. This will bring up a screen where you can give a name to your project. Choose any name. I choose OfficeBusProject as shown below. Click on OK and you will be navigated to the Project Design window.
Firebase Setup
The first step for us is to setup the Firebase database in the cloud. The instructions are given below:
Visit console.firebase.google.com/ and login with your Google account.
You will see the welcome screen with two buttons as shown below:

Click on Create New Project button.
This will bring up the Create a project screen as shown below, where you will need to provide a project name. Note that you will need to provide a unique name for your project. Select a Country/region where you would like your database to be hosted. Click on Create Project.

Ma'am we are working on a project, for which I want to create an app. Following are the thing I want in an app, 1. User must Login/Signup into the app. [This you have taught in this video]. 2. Then the user select some medicines we will provide the names. 3. Then he can send us the request on our base station. How can I achieve this using MIT?

Hi. I've already watched your video. I was just wondering about something. I've already made a screen where the people can Register/SignUp another account and another screen for the Login part. Should I make two firebase database for that? Or one database is enough? How will I connect the two of them? I hope you see my comment. Thank you.

Hi, you can use same database for login and signUp. while user SignUp you can use their email as a tag and password as a value. now whenever someone login to your app you have to just check that this tag means email is available or not if yes then you have to check that email password is same of not if yes... then open another screen

for that go to the firebase console then u need to click on realtime database then select the rules tab then make both false value to true and save

Were you using IOS? Try Android. It works for me. The extension doesn't work with IOS.

Sir, i have question. Can MIT retrieve the same user information that has been saved in the firebase even though after we refresh the screen? Or we need to keep on log in the same username and password everytime we open the apps? Help me sir. I already create the log in and sign up and it success. But when i refresh the companion and enter the same username and password i test earlier it cannot read in the firebase 😭

firebase values stored in the server. recheck your code and check that values are saving in your firebase or not

"For a custom firebase host you must first set your authentication server before using authentication features!" - please help me to resolve this. I made special sign up section below this login section. Else things are done as in video. Please could you make tutorial on Fire base mail authentication asking details including home address which can be retrieved later also. Thanks in advance... Do create more content.

it depends on what device you're using if laptop/computer it'll just show at the left side but if your using your phone then press the 3 lines button there you'll see it.

Hi Sourabh first many many thanks for this wonderful video. All went smooth. Finally when you hit Experimental and FirebaseDB you get a box and you click OK and when you click OK you get two entries in the Components and Properties. I do not get the OK box nor the entries. I did go and created the firebase with Google. Rebooted my laptop and the phone. What ever I do I an not able to make FireBaseDB to work. I feel before we click Environmental something has to be in the right place. That is what I am missing. Please advice. Thanks
