Hi Kevin, as an educator in the UK I must say you are definitely an outstanding source of online information. Love your explanations and easy to follow tutorials. Thank you!
@@KevinStratvert Hi Kevin, We have a teacher who has concerns about MS Forms. He created a quiz in MS Forms but he can not find it in the Assignment Tab.
Great video! Your channel is a dream for educators these days. A question: If a student are in the middle of filling a quiz as an assignment, can he/she save and get back later to finish?
Well done bro. You've finally started using the green screen when recording your videos and the background goes a long way. It looks quite professional. Keep going. Forward to 1 million subs.
The videos are terrific! I am wondering about the quiz you created in this video, will it show up in the class notebook in the student's notebook in the quiz section? Or does the Quiz section in class notebook have a different yet similar function? Same about "Homework" is there where assignments would also be found in a student's notebook?
Hi Kevin, thanks for your great videos! I am a teacher in the UK and you definitely have the clearest instructions for myself and my students. One question; I made a quiz on Forms yesterday for my students but it is marking correct answers as incorrect....I tried doing the quiz myself after I student reported this to me and it also marked my correct answers as incorrect! I can't find any help on the internet on how to fix this issue.....any help would be gratefully received! Thanks again
Thanks for another great tutorial. Small question: I'm trying to format the text of my questions in forms but it doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks and keep up the great work.
Hi! Great Tutorial, Thanks a lot! I have one question please: If my students have answered a certain quiz, and have seen their results, could they do the quiz another time, trying to have better grades? Thanks in advance
Hi Kevin. Thanks for the great tutorial. I tried to create a dummy quiz. Everything worked as you explained. However, somehow I do not get the post scores option.
Hi Kevin, your tutorial is very well done even a non techie person like me is able to follow well. I have one query, Iam unable to use snap shot and paste the question. I have to type it each time. any help on this?
We have a meeting next week about standardizing our own onboarding process and looking at things like Teams to do it. My question (and I know this is off topic) is because we have different groups of people coming in once or twice per month, how are those groups segregated in Teams? What would be the best business practice for this? Seems like creating a team for each batch of new employees would be overkill. Maybe a new channel for each group? Again, great video as usual
Hey Brad - Teams now offers templates, so if you need to re-create Teams for each new group coming in, Teams makes it easy. When I was at MSFT, we had a bunch of Teams that were short lived and I eventually just unsubscribed once it was no longer active.
Could you make a video how to conduct descriptive exams, how students can upload their papers and it's evaluation then marks allocation in MS teams or any other..
Thank you for such a nice helpful video. I have a doubt. Even if I am keeping the shuffle questions option 'on' in the settings of forms, when I assign that quiz as an assignment in MS Teams, all the students get questions in the same order and same options order too.
I am teacher and always use it in my Microsoft team. is there any option auto generate certificate after quiz done ? ( currently i am using mail merge option in word or publisher for generate certificate ). is there any automation ? is there any add on like certify'em and autocrat with google form and sheet for generate certificate automatically when finish quiz ?. thanks again i am one side fan for you video's specially its short and informatics without useless talk
You should be able to use Power Automate to automatically send a certificate upon completion of a quiz. If you're open to experimenting, here's a video I did on Power Automate to get you started: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dDO4Y4aDYXw.html
@@KevinStratvert I try 2 hours but fail generated certificate from quiz form response. but i learn many things from searching different video's and "Microsoft Power Automate Community" . if possible make video for certification from Microsoft quiz or form with Automate. we will thanks full in pandemic situation. and its very helpful for education field.thanks again
Hi. Thanks for the informative video. Is there any way to create a quiz in such a way that response of each question can be submitted individually so that if time ends you have at least few response already submitted.
You're usually only able to delete messages that you post. Since Forms posts the poll on your behalf, you can't delete. I'd submit a feature request with Microsoft Teams UserVoice requesting that you are able to delete if you created the poll.
@@KevinStratvert Thank you for the reply! And many thanks for all the great videos you post and all the work that you do. I cannot tell you how much you've helped me (and I'm sure many others) in this new reality of online teaching and working. Since I found your channel I've started to see the bright (and even fun) side to the experience that used to look intimidating and off-putting. All the best!
Great use of green screen Kevin Also I have a question. Everytime I send a quiz to my students (that have an institutional account) they answer it, and submit it (via a Link). But I get no results.... Unlezz I do it inside teams . Any hints or tips on how to fix it?
Dear Sir, Thank you for your nice tutorial. Suppose that I have a team named Class 7C. There are 24 students in this team. I would like to know how to simultaneously download all the quiz answers from the 24 team members. (I don't want to download or view them one by one.) Kind regards, Jan Barsk, Shenzhen, China
Hi Kevin, you are really an expert in MS products. I have made some custom videos uploaded to RU-vid and embedded in MS Forms- quiz for anyone with the MS Form link to participate. However, these videos do not show. Please help.
Hi @Kevin, I had a major issue with the quiz that I had for my students. The students initially weren't able to log in and then I changed the settings in share from Only people in this organization can respond to everyone who has the link. After the quiz was done and due. I didn't get anyone's name and email rather I just got Respondent 0 Respondent 1 etc. which are anonymous. How do I know who is who now and how do I solve this? I need to give the points/mark list to my faculty or else I am screwed!
Hey Kevin..... can you tell me how I can track students' names and details who are not in my teams/ organization ?? What if my students do not have a Microsoft account?? I know if I share the link to the quiz they can take the quiz but are they able to put their name and details there ?? Are you getting me what I am saying ??
What can you suggest for me to do when I manually check forms, Forms have instances that it fails to automatically save the corrections I made, so I kept going back and forth my students work checking if the forms I've already corrected where saved it or not
Hi Kevin, thank you for this. I followed and did a quiz in forms based on your earlier presentation. I shared the link outside microsoft teams. Problem is that I can not tell the name of the person who has responded. Any suggestions? Thank you.
If you have a work or school account, under settings you can require that only users in your organization can respond (this will capture the user info when a user fills out the form). If you want people outside your organization to be able to respond, you should include a field in the form asking the user for their personal details. Hope that helps!
i noticed that there are only 3 options to make the font in the quiz bigger (small , medium , large). the large option is still very small. is there another way to may it bigger for young students (6 year olds)?
creating the Quiz is easy, however if you made a mistake and you want to correct it as admin in editing, Msteams is NOT saving the changes. I tried to do it 4-5 times. My Corrections were not saved in the quiz. Any idea why this is happening?
I would like to ask how can I make a question like an enumeration. Example: A question will have 4 answers where a student is required to enumerate all 4.
You can sign up for an edu tenant here: www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/academic/compare-office-365-education-plans?activetab=tab%3aprimaryr1 Are you looking for the edu features in a non-edu environment? If so, I'd recommend using UserVoice to request that edu features are made available for non-edu.
