In a world of country club tour snobs this pro is a rare breed. He is humble, giving, and relatable. Thanks Bryson for helping both regular people and RU-vid golfers.
He’s many things, mainly a very talented, hard working. Elite level golfer. But humble is one thing he is not. I see him trying to pretend he’s humble a lot.
"I'm not afraid of a man who's practiced 10,000 different golf shots. I'm afraid of the man who's practiced one shot 10,000 times." - Bryson Bruce Lee DeChambeau
Bryson has been on the wrong end of negative media coverage for ages….WRONGLY What a credit to the sport and a shame others don’t follow his example…..top player and great man 😉👍🏻👍🏻
His content is seriously invaluable. For example, swing low and to the left if you want to cut the ball... I went to the range after and guess what I was able to do?
Wait a minute … how many majors do you predict? The “best” have won at least a dozen. He’s just getting started… great player but I think you jumped the gun
I read something and I try to instill it in kids I coach that we need to do the basic things perfectly. Then we can do all the other things that make us special
We remember when Bryson joined LIV. He wanted to be able to take his new money and influence Junior Golf. I am sure this is his first step in building training videos and eventually a training center much like a boot camp. God, I wish I was 14 again! My hat is off to you with profound respect. This is how you grow the game.
After a 2 year ‘break’ from playing golf, I am now starting to come back to the sport. Then I find hundreds of videos by the ONE player I’ve actually followed since I learned of this methods (one length clubs). So happy to see this wealth of media content he is creating. I guess going to LIV has given him the time to create this content, and for THAT I am so grateful. Now, Bryson, If I am going to copy anyone’s swing it is yours. Can you make more content on THAT? Starting from set up, backswing, position on top…ALL OF IT. SLOW-MO video so I can really understand and work on my own swing. Thank you ahead of time. Dr. Carlo Oller (48)
Bryson, this is by far one of the best videos out there PERIOD!!! So many golfers just HIT balls. There should be intention every single time. A focus and a challenge to make it fun but to also become more consistent. Well done. So many teachers focus on technique which is important but fail to focus on challenges and routines to become consistent.
Makes a big difference having the access on YT and getting to see players personalities. Don't get to see what they are like otherwise, apart from the boring old stuffy PGA interviews. Jason Day came off like a cool guy in the recent Grant Horvat video.
@@Thegolfingoldmanyou think LIV sucks because the golf channel told you to feel that way. And like sheep do. They just follow what the mass tells them to do.
How fortunate are we to live in an era where a master golfer like Bryson can share information like this! The information seems so simple it almost appears obvious, yet hearing it has opened up a new world of possibility in my life. Thx for this.
Bryson, I commend you in taking time to make this young man better. He will thank you later. I had someone back in the mid 1970s that did that for me in a different sport and I still appreciate the time he spent with me. I was in my 20s I'm 71 now. It will have impact on him the rest of his life! Thank you !
That is the best advice I've ever seen given to a junior golfer. Bryson, you are beginning to be my favorite RU-vidr, but more importantly, you are more relatable and a better man. You are gaining fans with every video you upload.
I would pay the subscription fee to see a series of junior golf lessons from Bryson. Lot of young golfers love hitting balls but it’s the focus and intentionality on each shot that needs to be taught more. I love this video.
I have to be honest! A few years ago I was not a Bryson fan at all. It drove me crazy watching you play. Now that I have subscribed to your channel and watch your interactions with Grant, Micah and other ms has changed my mind. You are a real gentleman and kind person.
How impressive is it that you take time and personal effort to show and share your experience. This isn't to stroke your ego but, is to show that genuine appreciation for your commitment to others.
Bryson your definitely cool guy, giving us your “personal time” is amazing because it’s not about the money. This young man just had a life changing moment. Bryson I had to edit this because I just saw TM and there clones (Pro’s) going out to play with u tubers, while your giving up your time for us! Again nobody is doing what your doing, so Thanks again!!
This is very invaluable insight. I'll remember this 10-15 years from now, not only for myself, but for my young kids if they ever want to play competitive golf. Having specific goals and targets is key to success. That goes for other sports, business, and life.
That was great insight into taking the game to the range narrowing targets down and putting yourself under pressure And how good is that lad at 14 for him to learn of one of the best players in the world. Well done
With each video Bryson puts out I'm in awe of how laid back and down to earth and humble he is. It's great to see him passing on his knowledge to the younger generation. The fact he takes the time to do this with them is very impressive.
Admittedly ... didn't know a whole lot about Bryson until I started watching LIV golf. Damn It! This guy really grows on you fast. Love the focus and passion. And he seems to have a genuine desire to help anyone and everyone. ❤
I can’t imagine thinking practicing golf was boring. Especially when I was young, sun up to sundown I was between the course, range, putting & chipping greens. Then at night I was learning all the information I could about the game, working out to be better, working on my putting stroke, etc. everyday. It’s way more fun practicing & getting good at something than sitting around staring at a tv or a telephone. Unfortunately so many people choose laziness over striving/working to be better whether it’s golf or anything else, especially today with the internet watching others do things has become more popular than actually doing things. Good on this kid for putting in the work.
@@shayorshayorshayor yea, I played on a few different tours for nearly a decade and taught professionally for many years. I have other passions in life I enjoy that led to some injuries as well as started my own business which led to me not playing for most of 2 years (2020-2022), getting my am status back so I could play in way more tournaments which was hard to do while starting a business/life because I needed to travel, practice and spend money so much to play in professional events only. It got to the point I could only play in maybe 3-4 events all year and choose between doing other things in life or only focus only on golf. Being born rich is a gigantic aspect to being able to pursue professional golf unfortunately.
❤❤❤ I tried your "multiple times in a row" practice as well as the "if it doesn't work after a few tries, try something else" and can see improved results almost immediately....still a long way to go, but this advice is taking me in the right direction!!!!! Please keep posting this kind of content! ❤❤❤
Bryson has mentioned this drill many times before. I like this video because it really helped me understand the drill. Fantastic video, and I really appreciate this kind of content!
One of the great things I noticed in this lesson was the fact that praise was given when it was earnt, not for the sake of it. He looks like hes got the potential to do great things in the game but will need to realise it wont be handed to him on a plate and he'll have to work extremely hard for it. Brysons lack of worthless praise will hopefully emphasise that point. Good luck, kid
Absolutely love this! I actually went to the range in the middle of this video to do the exact same thing and here I am, 4 hours later to finish. I loved the 3-5 shots in a row drill/test. It helped hone in on my feel and made me feel much more comfortable with my shot shape!
As a hockey player for 29 years and private hockey coach for 3 years I can fully agree this is a fantastic way to get better we take this same mindset in hockey and shooting and picking the corners of the nets etc etc. this is why I love watching Bryson.
Love this.. great lesson .Very good advice and easy to remember. That young Aiden is excellent, hard'-working and humble.I'm sure he has a future in the game.
Bryson, I love your mentality, but more importantly, your heart's desire to help others. The one thing I would try to incorporate into developing a training regimen is trying to make these drills fun. When the main focus is on the fun and joy that hitting amazing shots brings us then all the time and effort behind it isn't seen as "work". That's especially important for kids but even applies to people my age (56) and older.
Really, an AMAZING lesson. Introduces some really interesting concepts. "Learning about yourself." Have you ever heard anyone emphasize THAT aspect of golf instruction?? Cool stuff!!
easily the best golf content ive ever seen. a pro thats practically in his prime (im sure bryson would say hes got room for improvement) giving an aspiring kid liquid gold advice.
Listen to his words, some REAL "life coach" stuff being share here - not just golf practice, but in any application we task ourselves in life (purpose, intention, continual improvement). Bryson is a such a natural motivator/teacher..... how lucky are we to experience these lessons from such a dedicated master who is willing to share, I get inspired by this guy every single time!!!
Thank you for making this video. As a new golfer (6 months tops) this was super helpful. Even tho it was out of my league I was able to adapt it to my “play style” and practice routine. It’s helped me “find” my standard shot. Hope u keep making these helpful vids thank you
Bryson, they say timing is everything. I watched this video today and your advice was like gold. Because it is winter where I live, I’ve been working on my simulator most every evening, and over the last couple months got hyper focused on swing fundamentals. I’ve worked hard to learn to hit draws and fades fairly reliably (I’m a solid 8 handicap trending down). I naturally hit draws my whole life, and the fade really escaped me. Getting hyper focused on fundamentals was great work, but I got kind of stuck of what to do next! Then your video comes along, and tonight I spent 90 minutes setting different target lengths, with 20 yard wide targets, and tried to hit 3 fades, then 3 draws into the targets. I started at 170 yards and worked my way down to 100 yards. It is really a challenging drill! I found the third shot to be the hardest, because I would make two solid swings, get the shape and hit the target, and the third was sometimes off…I could feel the pressure build for that third shot. I also took your advice and would go internal when I felt the pressure, calm myself and see the shot. By the end of the session, I was getting 3 of each shot shape type into the target. It felt like a huge win! I also gained some valuable insight into the fades…hitting more fades inside of 10 feet to the pin then draws by a significant margin. Thank you for the great content!
Your a good guy !! I saw you in Tucson last year. You paused for a pic. Thank you. Keep it going. I have watched every LIV tourney since day one. I have your 58 shirt and am 65 !!! I`m trying to convert all the ol boys to LIV. Some are so narrow minded😳
This must be Brysons best video. There was a TON of basic usable content to see what goes into improving. Improving is the biggest thing always on a golfers mind. Add to it, delivering the content to a young golfer which most of us adults still play like that's what we are.
I do like suffering to get better. I was a bicycle racer. Your hardest opponent is the quitter in yourself. What you are teaching Aidan is mental toughness.
