Your videos are the best. Brings me back to my parents garage when you could work on real engines like 327s 396s 409s 289s 390s and do all those jobs. I also had and may still have that tool from doing my own Accel wire kit rebuilds. Great videos love them all keep them coming Artie 👍
Honestly i have used regular wire crimpers and have had zero failure for years now. I just fold ends over and pinch back side. The most important part is wrapping wire around back.
$20 for a tool when a whole set of new wires is $30 at Autozone? I guess if you were a Mechanic constantly fixing plug wires but I just need to fix one wire.
the wire i repaired in the video was off a brand new set... I have built many custom sets with that $20 tool and repaired probably 20 - 30 wires... that didn’t need a brand new set... I used to buy new sets every time I messed 1 up but I had hundreds of NEW wires laying around...
@@chriscraft77022 I get it, my set is new too but I just need to repair one wire. Buying a $20 tool that I’ll probably never use agian to Replace a $30’part just isn’t worth it to me. I’m not a mechanic. I might change or remove my plugs once every 5-10 years, if that. My brother borrowed my truck and messed with the wires, which were brand new. Now I’ve got to fix or replace one wire. Thanks.
you can always tell when someone knows their shit about what they're doing when their garage or work area, specially around the vise is cluttered with all kinds of shit. it's the way it works. except the part of like harbor freight, they suck and sell junk.
@@chriscraft77022 any advice how to get to work doing anything "mechanical"?? I got a mech engr degree but no experience. The economy in Alberta, Canada is shii t and i have basically zero connections/friends to network* me with those who do got experience that might be able to share what a mechanical engineeer does on dsily business. I started to try to at least learn some automotive maintenance (put the mechanıc into mechanical), but i dont want to go fixing things that are not broken. While I did change spark plugs, fuel filter, remove and clean throte body, replace pads and brake rotors, replace rocker cover gasket, change gearbox oil, and coolant and engine oil... I dont want to pay a technical school to learn formally in a classroom segment. My experience in life has been that people in classrooms teach you nothing and all learning is self-grasped especially with motivation. What can i do for living that is technical or mechanical related without paying 10000$/year that i dont have or falling into debt? Thanks alot thanks alot
stay away from cars.. do that in your personal time... go work for the city.. like water company.. they have engineering positions.. you get to work around electricians, plumbers, contractors.. that’s what I’m into and I love it.. usually they offer company vehicles.. they pretty much let you fix whatever you want
