your amazing!! thank you so much for this tutorial it was so helpful! i’m an absolute complete beginner and i was able to follow along so easily! although mine came out a little wonky it’s so so so good for my first ever crochet project. i thank u soooo much i love my bear so so much thank you!!🥰🥰 🐻
Thank you so much for this tutorial I've only ever made blankets and a couple mini bats. It was so easy to follow along! Yours is so amazing mine turned out wonky with a bit of personality but he's totally adorable!
This is my first time ever doing crochet and this tutorial helped SO MUCH! I could understand everything and I learned a lot of new things! I had to try a couple of times but the end is so so cute!
Made this for my boi before he goes out to basic training and job training for 2 years. My yarn was a bit chunkier but it still looks amazing. I am going to make an army of these. Too cute!!! ❤❤❤
Love how your phrasing and descriptions were consistent throughout the entire video. Hope to use this to bridge my skill gaps on a few patterns I have in a book and couldn't figure out.
absolutely adore this pattern think you so much for sharing! for anybody struggling with the start for each piece like I was, a magic ring replaces the first step very easily :)
this is my first time making anything like this, ive only made a hat, and it turned out pretty decent for my first attempt. thank you for the clear directions, you explained terms i didnt even know of!
I completely understand that feeling! When I first started I could never finish a project because I felt like I didn’t understand anything that the pattern said, it’s totally fine! Just be patient and practice! You’ll get better at it with time
Love this tutorial! Thank you so much for this and the super clear pattern. This was my first amigurumi and it was so easy to follow along. LOVE your alternative to the magic circle too - much easier with the chenille yarn that is almost impossible to pull tight on a magic circle 😍 just brilliant!
thank you! as a beginner that has only made a scarf and a few hats this was very easy! i do recommend concentrating when joining it so its not wonky like mine
I'm a beginner at crocheting and this was WONDERFUL! Followed along so easily, and my little bear came out ADORABLE. He'll be going to my best friend's baby. Who knew I could make a bear? Thank you so much for this! 🥰
I appreciate how you explain exactly where to sew. You made this project enjoyable. My first attempt was a little off centered but I love it. Thank you!!
This was so awesome!! Like I've been struggling for a year to make a simple ball and this helped solve that issue in less than an hour lol thanks so much!!
Great tutorial! Thank you! I'm a beginner and it was easy to follow. Used Bernat Baby Blanket yarn to make an adorable gray Teddy. I only had the one color so I made the snout the same color. Also I embroidered the eyes, nose and mouth. I'm working on a second one now. :) This was my first crochet stuffed animal ever!
@Kari Maendel Yes, it really is. It's all single crochet. Each piece starts the same way, And then you connect all the pieces. Just finished another one. The tutorial takes you through it all.
It took about 50 yards of blanket yarn (5wt), so one skien should be plenty…unless you want to make the snout in a different color. I think it’s just fine all one color.
I found everything so easy except when stitching on the ears as I'm left handed my yarn seams to split any ideas please feeling very frustrated thanks Linda x
@@lindacrawley100 I understand. it’s really frustrating. You could sew the components with same colour double knit yarn. Thread won’t split and sewing thread hides perfectly between your stitches. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much I love it and it was so easy to follow! Now I'm not a beginner or a professional but it was easy for me not everyone if you can't get it it's ok just try again another time!
OMGOMGOMG thank you so much for this pattern I'm definitely not an absolute beginner but I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try something a little harder and this was so easy to follow even the stitching together parts, I cannot thank you enough!!! Mine turned out so cutee and I love it!!!💗💗💗💗have an amazing dayy👩❤️💋👩
Think I've just clocked you a hundred more watch hours. But I completed a bear and I'm a complete beginner so thank you, now to do all Iver again for my older daughter too
Thank you for this tutorial I've been stuck to making bees again and again waiting to find a new thing to do that wasnt too scary Well this bear was scary at first but i manage to do it in 6hours more or less So thanks for this It helped a lot
Am I wrong or u counted round 8 twice in body? I think the round 8 is when u made (2sc, dec)*6 to get 18 stitches and then you wrote round 8 and 9 are 18*sc.. timing in video 13:04 and 13:30
Hi there, i just wanna thank you for this tutorial! I only very recently started learning how to crochet, and this was my first ever project. I started with the smaller pieces (arms, legs etc) to build up my confidence and i learned a lot! By the time i got to the head and body i was very confident, and my finished bear looks adorable, and pretty good considering i only had a week of experience! I've since made a snake which looks wonderful, and I'm so excited to continue my crochet journey Greetings from the UK ❤️
I was a little impatient when i first tried this video and failed miserably 😅 (no fault to the creator they had clear and easy instructions), after some time i learned and practiced crocheting blankets and scarves, even making a purse using rectangle squares, and finally ive got the skills and with more patience to try again, now i can make this adorable bear. So cool to learn somethig like this thank you! 🎉
slip knot and Ch2 method is an alternative to magic ring but you can certainly use magic ring if you prefer. the yarn i use makes it difficult to pull therefore i use the method stated.
Awesome video with great detailed explanations.... Even I, THE absolute crochet starter can understand - I shall definitely want to give this a try 👍👍👍 Many Thanksss 💝 💝💝
first time I have seen the stitch markers used, everyone always says use them but never demonstrate it!! I finally have my stitch count right and as for the alternative to the magic circle, well that is brilliant!
I’m surprised no one has mentioned this, but I think there’s a typo on your tutorial. R8 was repeated twice, was this supposed to be R7 for the decreasing on the body?
what i did was decrease on 8 and then did 9 & 10 sc and round 11 4sc dc and so on. i made it for a coworker and it had turned out good so ya but if u did the other way it would just. be a lil smaller but i dont think it matters which u do too much...
Thank you soooo much for this! It’s mine and my partners 11 year anniversary of being together next week, and I started crocheting about a year ago and wanted to do something special for him, so I’ve made this teddy in green! (his favourite colour). This was genuinely so easy to follow and you done such a good job at explaining things. I’ll be subscribing for more! 🧸
@@hsulaenaing6833 I don’t even think I used a full one you know! The teddy comes out relatively small, which is why it only took me one evening to do :) xxx
Love this tutorial! You explain it all so well! Can’t wait to make this for my baby boy, he’s 8 months old and has recently started taking interests in teddies so thought it would be super sweet for him to have a keepsake one that I’ve made him ☺️ I don’t suppose you roughly know how much fibre filling you used do you? 😊
That’s so sweet. i’m glad you like it x unfortunately it’s difficult to state that as it all depends on how firm or soft you would like your bear to be. Thanks for watching my tutorial ❤️❤️
Thank you for a great video. I have wanted to make a bear for a while. I have worked some smaller things in the round and feel confident now that I can do this. Can regular chunky yarn work for this? That is what I have on hand. Can't wait to get started.
Thankyou so much for the feedback I appreciate it. Yes you can use regular chunky yarn but bear will look a little different from the picture as I used Himalayan soft Baby yarn.
Hey, I'm making a teddy bear for my friend's baby. This is the first time I'm crocheting, and I was just wondering if there was a way to maybe make crocheted yard eyes instead of the plastic ones to make this more pattern a bit more newborn safe? This is my best friend's first baby and I'm so nervous that plastic eyes might hurt him if he chews on it.
Thanks so much for this tutorial! Just one question. With the way you sewed on the legs, how does the bear sit down? I sewed them the way you did, but the legs just go out to the side. I'm not sure what to do.
You’re welcome. Thanks for the feedback. The legs on the bear in this tutorial were joined on the side but due to the type of yarn used they go forward instead of outwards.
When doing the body, why round 8 repeats 2 times. In first round 8 you do (2sc,dec) (18). And in the second round 8-9 you do 18 stitches in each 2 times?
I live in the USA & I can't find the yarn that you used. I tried regular yarn & that didn't work because the fiberfill goes through the holes. What ply yarn is this?
I did this but I didn’t do the muzzle and used button eyes as well as used king bunny ears from another tutorial and came out with a bunny :) very first project but this video helped me understand all of the terms
I am at the beginning doing the 2nd round and it is going very round and ball like. I can’t flatten it. I see I might be doing it too right but don’t know how to loosen it without giving the crochet gaps??
Hi there, Working with plush yarn can easily cause that. You have to loosen your grip just enough to not make it curl drastically. It will however curl up a little later as we are making a ball shape for the head. Secondly make sure the number of stitches are correct for each round as missing even one stitch can cause the work to bow too early. Hope this helps. Happy Crocheting 🧶
I am not sure if I skipped over or didn't understand properly, but I didn't see the tutorial for the body and ears. Other than that, this was a truly excellent video!
