If you’re gonna make this I reccomend that you make more row of increase for the top. Do two or three more rows up till you get to 9 stitches, increase or 10 stitches, increase. Otherwise you’ll end up with a hat for a small child.

Everyone has a different size head. I find I have to adjust you tube directions to my size. Also different yarn will give you a different result. I have made one that with stretch yarn and my brim ruffled. The next hat was made with more of a cotton yarn and my brim was straight not curved so with this yarn I needed more rows to extend the brim because it fit more snug on my head. Overall this hat is very cute. I like to add embellishments like crochet flowers or pins on hat to complete.

Hello, thanks. You can continue making increase of your stitches in 10st in every two row. Or you can increase also by doing 2,1,2,1 then next row 2,1,1,2,1,1 until you done your desired lenght of your visor

Most rulers and measuring tapes have metric measurements as well as imperial measurements. im a beginner and it took me 8 hours to finish, it fits snug on me(i dont have big head). i used acrylic yarn. i never owned a bucket hat so im not sure how it normally fits? should i add 1 or 2 rows for the circle? thanks for the tutorial

i used 3mm hok and the size of the top is 3cm less 😭💔 .. i think its because of the hook so I'm gonna add more rows . is it okay if it's not really stretchy ?

my top part of the hat came out to 20 cm and i have 84st in my 15th round im using a medium 3 arcylic yarn is that why the measurement is more than 16.5 cm
Then maybe because the difference of the yarn, acrylic is more stretchy than cotton. Just try it on to make sure you get your desired size of your hat 😊
Yes just make more rows. Since you’re using smaller yarn first make more row for your top part to make a bit more wider, just increase 7st in every row then continue your side part. I hope this help ☺️
I think you wrote incorrectly the round 33. You're increase should be 10x not 9x. Am I right? Because the last round is 94. You basically added 10 stitches to have 104. You only wrote your correction on the 4 stitches but not the 9x. It should be 10x. I did the math 😅 I thought I was wrong
Hello, to make it bigger add more rows for the top part (i end up here rnd15,) to increase for your rnd16: *sc(11st) 2sc *repeat (91). Rnd17: *sc(12st) 2sc *repeat (98). Just increase 7st every round until you get your size then continue making your side part by repeating your last round top(until the deep you want of the hat) then continue making the brim/visor of the hat.
Yes same procedure but different counts of your stitches. In making the visor i increase 10st every two round. For ex: if you end 98st for your last row(round side of the hat) then you should have 108st to the next row making your visor

Hey bev have made the hat and used a stiff cotton yarn with a 5mm hook with a tight tension, however i realised the yarn is thicker and have eneded up with a hat at round 20cm from side to side on the top part how can i make it smaller by a row or 2?
