Ok, having watched the whole video now, I want to say three things - (1) You do an excellent job explaining how to make a magic circle, (2) You make crocheting this round cat coaster super simple, showing clearly how to put in the increases and add on the ears and tail at the end, and (3) Yes, I'd love a video in the future that discusses developing our own pattern variations. For instance my 17yo daughter has two pet Shetland sheep, and I'd love to make her a set of coasters. Next to the ears, I'd need to add little curved horns. Hmmm.... I might just give it a go and experiment. How bad could it be? (Maybe really bad? ☺️)

That’s the beauty of crochet it’s so easy to experiment with different stitches to make a pattern! Plus it’s so satisfying to know your created something from scratch ☺️

Yay to cat people, they’re the best! I’m sure they’ll love some of these for their new apartment :)

I haven't tried a guitar yet, there's so many shaped to consider. I'm sure if you found a tutorial for a rounded triangle coaster you could say it was a plectrum...? :-)

I usually spray with a little water, place a tea towel over the top and then a couple of books overnight. Hope that helps :)
