I made several of these many MANY years ago, but now that I am a grandma I wanted to make one for my first granddaughter. Thank you so much for the very easy tutorial that helped to remind me how to do it. BTW I really like the zoom in feature as I can clearly see what you are talking about.

Since this is my first crochet project as an absolute beginner, i found this really helpful, i would definitely recommend this channel, all the other tutorials I’ve watched were a little too fast or confusing for me to understand, she goes through each step one by one and does explain it slowly, it’s honestly one of the better channels for crochet tutorials I’ve found recently, thank you so much for making these tutorials so easy to understand!

Such an easy guide for a beginner to follow! My mom taught me the basics of crocheting (chains, single crochet, double crochet, etc.) when I was younger and I recently got back into it. If anyone is looking for a great informative guide, this one is where you need to be! I also enjoyed the reference to hills and valleys because it made it visually understandable and clear. Thank you!

If I wanted to make a blanket 48" wide, could you suggest a starting chain? How many multiples of 14? I know you lose some width after the starting chain. I'd be using a 5.5mm hook and red heart super saver yarn. Thanks 😊

Your crochet videos are the best! I love how you zoom way in and show the bumps in the beginning and how to count where to put the needle. Figuring that out was a challenge for me with other tutorials as a total newbie! Your explanations with your camera angle and repetition are perfect for teaching!! I am grateful for your time and skill!

It's so frustrating. I saw yours and gave it a try, and I said to myself it's about time someone does it right! I love when you zoom in and how you explain it so clear. Colie Myers how many skeins of yarn did you use and how many single stitches did you use to start with??
@nicolemyers8551
@nicolemyers8551 5 лет назад
@@andreaquery3844 I used 4.5 of a color changing yarn, then 6 of regular solid colors, so it was 10.5 altogether (the color changing yarn had more yarn in them, however)...& I didn't count out my length, I just counted 14 each section until I reached my length I wanted (I used my own queen bed as reference, & when I finally reached edge to edge on my bed, I simply just added another 14 (so it has enough room to "hang" some over the edges) & left it at that...I don't remember how many 14's I counted, though)

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you sooooo very much for your Awesome video !!!! Your video is the only one I’ve watched that has what I needed to know. Easy, not complicated at all !!! ❤❤❤ Thank you ❤ Your voice, the video and information along the way is wonderful ! ! Love that you use the back bone of the chain, and that the pattern is easy and looks great !!! Thank you again for doing what you do 🥰❤️☕️☕️💕 My friend was supposed to make a chevron blanket and lost her instructions lol 😂 so she knew I crocheted 🧶 (granny sq blankets, I call them grandma hugs and give them to my grandchildren). I have never chevron before. I have spent 2 weeks watching and trying videos on this. Nothing worked. I have constantly undone that work, several times 🤪 With your video I have started and I know the stitches that I need to do. Easy, LOVE ❤️ your video and voice. Thank you sooo very much again ❤️👍🥰🧶

Danielle Olivieri.. I had a hard time too. I just kept trying! Then I got it. I paused everytime she gave chain 5 instructions. Make sure you are chaining 14 over and over until you get the length you want. Don't forget adding on the extra 4 chains! My frustrations were she is an excellent instructor so I knew I was getting lost on my own! Try again. You will love this pattern!
